I wasn't really gonna post this video because I put a snippet of some music on it which is copyrighted, so I kept it unlisted, but as things are, their label has found it anyway and claimed it now and put commercials on it, so I guess it's alright.

Yup, that stuff is usually automatic. Even private videos will get ContentID claims on them if they contain a match. Sometimes you'll get ads, sometimes you'll get blocked in certain regions, sometimes you'll get blocked everywhere. I believe the more damaging copyright strike will only happen when a human initiates it, though; copyright claims tend to be a mostly harmless annoyance.

Or fuck-up'ism.. I did a remake of Purcell's Funeral Music for Queen Mary two days ago, a medieval piece I set to electronic music, alike the clockwork orange soundtrack.. I uploaded it to Hear This, and BAM.. Copyright claim.. The best bit, it was an automated claim on the band Queen's music, it wasn't even on Purcell - which would ofc have been equally nuts since it's several hundreds years old. But this automation copyright is far from flawless.

i've been playing a lot of mage knight solo over the past 2 months and tbh, as great as it is, i really wish another company would pick it up. so sick of wizkids' ugly miniatures and flimsy cards. the weirdest thing is, the base game and first expansion have some glaring differences in card and token colors that were never fixed in any reprints of them. how does something like that even happen?

It happens when you cut corners to keep costs low.

well it's apparently not a problem with printing hardware seeing as it persists in reprints (from what i've seen). it would literally just be a matter of using the same image files for card and token backs across everything. what's cutting corners about that?

It costs money to fix things. The kids probably don't care about printing errors more than they care about low quality components so why spend the extra money or the time for strenuous quality control.

It costs money to update a reprint of the base game to the more vibrant colors from the expansion?  Undecided

Also mage knight (i mean the board game, not mage knight resurrection or w/e the miniatures game is called these days) is not really targeted at kids. It's a complex and long game for nerds. I.e. why it would be nice if it was handed to a publisher like fantasy flight or even the designer's own company CGE who are more competent at making components for such games.

Now having a go in Battlefront.. But something ticks me off these games, I think you get to spent a lot of time running for the front. FrontRunner, had been a better name for it.. Here I play multiplayer..

OK, so: I kinda didn't like the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game. It had really nice character progression mechanics but the actual moment-to-moment gameplay was grindy and the game takes waaayy too long to set up and had too much dicerolling and bookkeeping for how deep it is (which is not very deep at all).

Turns out the digital adaptation of the game, called simply Pathfinder Adventures, is actually pretty fun just by virtue of removing all the annoying shuffling. THe presentation makes it a little more thematic than its physical counterpart too.

Yeah I feel like they had a great progression mechanic in PACG and then they wasted it on a completely tedious game. Warhammer Quest ACG is far more enjoyable imo.

Yes warhammer quest card game is great. The digital version of pathfinder is f2p though so might be worth a try.

I played a lot of Rogue Legacy last summer up until I got stalled on one of the Remix Bosses. Let it sit for a while, went back this week to bash my head against it and got my platinum today. Never expected to get as addicted to this game as I did. It's one of my favorite gems now that provided way more fun and frustration than expected for the cost value.
