Ahhhh....
Forumites, new and old, this goes out to you.

Anyone who posts on ANY forums know the feeling of which i speak when i say that there is a certain satisfaction that comes when you realise a topic YOU created has become hot. Admins, Noobs, Level 7's, Rookies, Veterans, Spammers: ALL feel a goodness in the gut when something THEY did, a topic THEY created, heated up until it was defined as "hot." This is cause to lean back in desk chairs and breathe out a sigh of ecstacy, becuase something has been accomplished. A "hot" topic is sizzling with interest, is burning with controversy, is raging with laughter. And YOU created it. Ain't that the truth?!

*crosses fingers and hopes this becomes a hot topic*

...

Haha i dunno, i was bored, but i know at least some of y'all feel me on this...

It's the only reason I get up in the morning.

My life is... is pretty empty.

I know! It's like the sudden shock that runs through your spine like you had touched a highly charged capacitor that you had made for a lab in 11th grade physics but never threw out and weren't, despite everything your parents told you, properly grounded.

And then everything goes black.

Actually I find hot topics bothersome to create, because usually when a topic has hundreds of replies it goes off topic.  Cold topics are also bothersome to create, because nobody replies to a topic that deserves more attention.  I think there's a golden number of replies that all topics should ideally strive for, any more and any less than that are imperfect topics.  This must be called the golden topic.

Or perhaps the "pleasantly warm" topic.

Gah! I never knew about the existence of Hot Topic until just now. A quick trip to Wikipedia later, and I am enlightened.

Gah!
