Sorry, this is on hold at the moment (but not abandoned), due to real life issues that's taking up all my time.

Tentatively done some more work on this.. fixed some bugs with the line of sight that caused some of the issues to appear before. I think I've fixed the case of your men disappearing when you move them, but not 100% sure.
Oh, stopped the new enemy seen part working if you spotted a recently killed enemy (which sometimes happened).
The code for this was a bit of a mess - I don't know what I was thinking..

Some of the line of sight issues that you had before, were that you could see the edge of an enemy units arm, but he couldn't see you as his vision was blocked by the edge of a wall. Although this can occur in real life - it felt wrong and unfair that both units couldn't see each other. I've now made it so that you have to have clear line of sight from the centre of each unit to another unit's centre to see them. This means they can see you too as soon as you spot them. It also stops you being able to see a unit if only a few pixels were sticking out from behind a wall, which means it's easier to hide and I'm hoping it feels better. More testing still needed to make sure it all works properly though..

After thinking about this for a while and trying different experiments with the graphics, I've decided that I'm going to make the game more colourful and saturated. I like the more realistic desaturated colours it had before, but part of me thinks it just clashes a bit with the graphics style. Other styles would work well with the desaturated colours, so I'll probably use these kind of colours for a different game. So I'm in the process of boosting the colours, darkening the shadows, simplyifing the interface graphics and generally making it more like a 'classic' game. In fact it will look a bit more toy like, and so I intend to remove the particle effect in place of sprites for a hit effect. All in all, it's going to look more retro.

I've played the demo, and will buy the new game soon I think. Until playing that I can't really judge the differences to the new game comparing with the old one, and to my game.

Working on fixing some interface bugs and improving the feel of it as well. I've also changed some of the GUI and tile set graphics and improved some of the font's letters. A lot of trial and error, (like everything in my projects), but it's getting better I think.

What kind of resolution is this game set to? I seem to recall you had an image showing non-square pixels of some sort, and compared to what you've shown in the screen latest screenshot, makes me think it's far larger than the 800px image itself? Maybe not, but either way, it still looks absolutely fantastic! The next 90% can't come soon enough...it's going to be some kind of massive that's for sure!
