I generic Roguelike "@" is a great idea.  Aside from using various medieval weapons, he could summon a "d" (dog) or eat "%" (food) to regain some health.

Quoted because it is an awesome idea and noone really talked about it.

Also the character from BDTUW would be good for a cactus character(I think.)

I think the guy from Karoshi would make an interesting character. He could use his pistol, crates, head (I distincally remember his head falling off in Karoshi 2), or even the kart from Karoshi 2 like Wario's bike in brawl. You could also give him a dieing attack that could turn him into an angel for a second or two.

I don't think it would work since the Karoshi mindset is that you want to die. So unless you can work that in, it would feel off.

I think we need Iji in this game now.

Also, I second (or third, fourth, whatever number we're at) the idea of a roguelike character. There even could be a "roguelike" scroll item that randomly spawns the attack of any of the characters.
You know, like roguelike scrolls. You never know what they do until you use them :D

That's crazy! So crazy it might just work!

It could work if Karoshi can hurt himself by attacking enemies, but if enemies hit him, he regains health.

The mechanics for more than two players boggle my mind. I guess in a points match, Karoshi would get points for dying instead of killing, but in a lives match he would...be...banned? Also, what would happen if he fell? Perhaps he would return as an angel and get healed somewhat.

No, it's too silly and complicated. I don't think it could ever work. Perhaps Karoshi could appear like an item, and the player who kills him gets a bonus of some kind.

Karoshi should be a fatality move. There will be a giant crate falling on the loser.

Fixed it for you.

Though to be honest, I think Karoshi would be best as a level or item.

We NEED Iji for this game, she could kick, and shoot and... hack?

She'd still be great.

What about 'Guy'?

YOU KNOW WHO I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!

Definitly.

And how about 'Castle Crasher' out of the game 'Castle Crashers'? He would be good, especially since he already has a pretty clear moveset.

Nathaniel, I think the main problem with implementing the kid is that most of his abilities would involve dieing spectacularly.

Still, maybe you could have it so that when he does die, he splatters the field with blood and makes the floors slippery for other players!

I think the best characters suggested so far are probably Lameza (La Mulana), Barkley, Iji and a Castle Crasher (though it may be difficult to get permission for him). They are all easily recognizable and have some great possibilities for attacks.

Why would it be hard to get the Castle Crashers guys? Just make sure to tell 'em you aren't making a dime off it and they'll be cool. It's almost like free advertisement.

Yeah, I doubt it would be that hard to contact the behemoth. In fact, we should designate some sort of "TIGS liason" for things like this.

I can't imagine Tom Fulp would try to keep you from using a castle crasher. He let BomToons make Castle Crashing the Beard, after all. I mean, he even did voice work on it.

I second Iji. She'd probably be very similar to Quote in that she'd be a ranged specialist.

You guys better give her the Velocithor as a special. Kiss
