If I was bathed in money, I'd grad the "DESIGN MONKEY" perk. Probably, the best reward I've seen in a Kickstarter pledge.

I wonder if the Diamond Trust of London kickstarter will hit the goal. Rohrer's still got a few days left, but he's still a few grand short.

I thought the game was already published? Anyway maybe he can jut go into his field and gather the spirit force of all the grass and the small plants and summon a small goblin with a pot of gold?

The game is finished, but he needs to get together enough money to pay for a print run of cartridges. It's going to come down to the wire - he's 90% of the way there, but if he can't get the full cost together he's liable to drop the whole thing and write the game off as a failure.
It is times like this where you learn that the magic of miracles really does only exist in movies and that reality is a lot more of a jerk.

I think he gave his kickstarter less time than is usual? It started with like 15 days iirc, so he's only 2/3 through the time he gave it.

The Nesl project I linked on the first page ended up barely squeaking by. They were three days left and they hadn't posted any updates at all despite having promised some. When I pointed this out on their page they personally sent me an apology stating they were busy with finishing up school, and how it was bad timing all around. I found this to be pretty decent of them in a way.
They ended up making a video to personally address this failure on their part to interact with their own community, and even took time to specifically address the question I had.
Either way, I feel like it sort of shows that actually connecting with the people on Kickstarter is what gives it strength, since it does in fact rely heavily on getting buzz generated.

Pretty amazing guys--All but one of the Kickstarters mentioned in this topic were successfully funded. It's great that so many wonderful projects are coming to fruition

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/spaceventure/two-guys-spaceventure-by-the-creators-of-space-queSpaceventure is creeping upward, but has a long way to go. In the opposite fashion as Capn's anecdote, they've pulled out all the stops with twice or thrice daily updates, a barrage of new rewards in new tiers, and lots of video interviews including retrospectives of the Space Quest series and discussions with the voice actors for the game (which is a pretty impressive all star cast). This looks like it will be another squeaker if it manages to make it.

Looking at the location, I wonder if they could do props for the Dad's Garage theatre company. Paste, you wouldn't happen to go there, would you?

Not sure what you mean by "would you", but either way, I haven't been to Atlanta in quite a while. I keep meaning to go visit again, but things keep coming up.

Man, it'll really break my heart if this kickstarter doesn't make it. I'll also be extremely puzzled by why it didn't...

Probably people are starting to get burnt out after Tim Schafer and Al Lowe already kickstarted some classic Adventure franchises. All of them are targeting the same audience.
They're pulling in a lot of cash pretty fast. If they keep up the pace of the last three days, they should squeak by. I'm impressed by the amount of effort they're putting into this thing.
