TF2, Descent 1 and 2, HL2, SoTC, Bubble Tanks 2 (flash game...), C64 Ninja (cactus), Cave Story, Nikuijin, Red Dead Revolver.

I have a thing for epic whimsical adventures. That's why Miyazaki is the shit.

So... Am I the only one here who rarely replays games? I tend to get bored with games I've already beaten, and there is always a new game for me to play, so why bother.

:/

There's no problem with that and you're hardly the only one. We're just the kind that enjoy replaying games (though I'm that way to a lesser degree). It's hard to explain.

I think the problem with Oblivion is that too much of it is procedurally generated. What makes freedom in Fallout so satisfying is that many of the locations are designed by hand, with a broad variety of characters and hand-crafted situations that can be played through in many different ways with vastly different results.

I fear Fallout 3 will suffer from the same mistake. Don't get me wrong. I'm not picky with my games. It will probably be an awesome game. I will probably love F3. I will probably waste some years playing it. But will it give the same taste the first game did? Probably not. Then again, it was the game that first gave me a taste of sweet sweet virtual freedom, so if they could make F3 the greatest game of the millenia and I still wouldn't get the same feeling.

Bethesda is in way over their heads.

Chrono Trigger because I love its world(s) and characters.

I guess you could say I go back to this one every once in a while.  I even convince myself that I'll actually finish it.  But every time I get to the point where the Black Omen appears, I lose interest for some reason.  Oh, I've played a little beyond that, but right around then I start getting bored.  I don't know why.

Otherwise, I really enjoy the game.  I wish other RPG's had picked up on that battle system because it was simple, yet effective, and not annoying like most RPG's.

I don't usually replay singleplayer games but I always tend to go back to Ape Escape and the Tony Hawks games (pre 360 ones anyhow)

Never did go back but DEFINITELY should:

LBA 1 & 2

If you don't know what the initials mean you should go hide under your blanket and never come out.

Never.

Seriously, those are 2 of my most favorite games.

I've started replaying Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast again because that game was great!  It's sequel was sort of lackluster because the story was so much worse, but yeah, I have great memories of Jedi Knight II, and apparently for good reason.

Am I more indie because I keep accidentally typing Jedi Knytt instead of Jedi Knight?   Grin

No it was called Street Gangs, you probably just got the name wrong.
