I'm only an occasional lurker/poster, but it's nice to be in the company of so many indie devs who are trying to bust through the wall of Steam. Luck to you, good sirs! In case anyone's into spacey games, please toss in a vote for Salvation Prophecy.

Argh, I exceeded the char limit. The biggest offenders of course are the thumbnails urls (stupid humongous steam cloud urls). I need to find a way to mass upload them.

Maybe use Bitly or TinyURL.

Maybe use Bitly or TinyURL. Bitly did the work great, thanks a lot. And thus, updated.

i'm a stupid faggot
how about you go fuck yourself? take this shit elsewhere, this is the thread where we post games to upvote, not to downvote. also there's nothing wrong with clones (as long as they don't involve blatant theft of assets).

clones can be beneficial because they can slightly evolve a formula by trying tiny new things but remaining largely the same as a successful game. there are threads in the steam forums about how they should not even allow minecraft clones on greenlight, and threads where they mass downvote any minecraft clone. i find that pretty stupid: imagine if greenlight existed in the early 90s and people were downvoting every FPS game because they were all doom clones (which is what the genre was known as for a long time). i also remember people hating super meat boy at first because they thought it was just a clone of jumper.

To be fair, most of those Minecraft/Terraria clones so far haven't really offered anything new.
Those "Doom clones" (Rise of the Triad, Duke Nukem 3D, System Shock, Marathon) all offered stuff different from Doom.

Yeah, I don't think it would be the right thing to do. Had they ripped assets or smth,I would have hit the report button.
Anyway, as allen said, I don't think that belongs to the scope of this thread. Despite the aggressive tone, I agree we should keep a positive stand on this thread.
