There's no limit to the number of games on one day. Claw is on the 9th. If you want, I can put you on the ninth too.

Okay, I think I'm done.

Little robot scrubs keep tryina steal those toys. Use your coal supply to pop em good. If they get to the sack, you can pop em and collect the present to save it. But if they're gone, they're gone for good.

Nope, you lost.

Green, your game is super polished (even though it's not finished) and it shows

John your game is KILLING ME.  I'll beat it one day.

Buff Christmas (4.45 MB)
Windows only, probably.

I started work on this on Sunday because I knew I wouldn't have much time to work on it today. But I ended up getting really big ideas that I wanted to implement, and had a lot of unexpected free time. So I logged a total of 17 hours on it... whoops. Sorry 'bout that; not really a 'jam' sorta thing, but I had a lot of fun on it. Also, pre-emptive apologies for the MS Paint art Tongue
Anyway, hope you all enjoy.

Also:
SO YOU WANNA DRAW MUSCLE ELF!?

LOL - that's pretty awesome. rofl - You did some pretty nice sound effects too.

How did you hide the resources for your game? I've always wondered how to do that .-.

Oh, Game Maker does that by default. All the resources are just stored in the exe.
The only sound effects made for the game were the voices; the rest of them were thanks to some random internet sites. Where else would I go to get wonderful MIDI covers of christmas music? Giggle

I did it really tongue-in-cheek because I was trying to do it all quickly. The difficult part with the fighting (or, more appropriately, the killing) was that I had a million effects stacked on top of each other to make it flashy. There were screen shakes, voice sound effects, blood balls, hit effects, bloodstains, silly damage numbers, blood sound effects, Santa taunts, freeze frame, flying body parts, etc. I just added stuff and kept adding until I felt like it was visceral enough, then added a little more. In that regard, and seeing as there was intentionally no challenge, the game was pretty much all polish Tongue
Thanks so much for this opportunity, thatshelby. I'd been looking for an excuse to do a little side project, so this worked perfectly and I had some fun doing it, too.

@J. R. Hill:
I won on my first try. I think that says a lot about me. What do I get? Durr...?

@Eigenbom:
Oooh, a Snake meets Puzzle mashup. Very cool, I like it! And some of the levels are just downright evil. (Also: "His name was Dynamite and he was explosive.", haha :D)

(I wonder why I haven't seen such a game before. In retrospect it seems so obvious to make a puzzle game with a snake mechanic.)

Made in one day, it's not good but I didn't want to be the reason the project fails. A very simple metroidvania.

Neat game, poe! I got stuck right before I got the yellow ribbon (trying to climb up to get it, in the bottom right of that pit). Nice concept.

Looked and sounded awesome!
I didn't read the description so I thought the car would fall off if you didn't change it's speed by tilting the screen, so I kept tilting back and forth.  It took me a while to realize that you were supposed to listen to the music.  I need to read instructions more.

Glad you guys are enjoying it!

@Pixelulsar - That's a neat idea! But yeah, it's more of a music visualization than a game.
