so today I'm working on a new death system. When a player dies the screen will backtrack to the previous room and reset that rooms enemies. If you die again in the current room you will continue to backtrack. Levels will have multiple routes to take so if one area is too hard the chance to take different routes will be available through back tracking.
The mouse changes into a ghost that the player can spin around for fun while the screen back tracks to the previous room.
Now I'm thinking I might even have something you can do with the ghost mouse like control which direction you backtrack.
