Hi all,
I've been lurking around here for years and only recently registered. Finally plucked up the courage to post something about my game...
I've been developing a cricket game (yes, that quintessentially British past-time) for the last 2 years and have finally reached a point where I'm reasonably comfortable making it public. It's a 3D arcade/simulation game and is pretty featured-packed (at least, more so than other cricket games):
- all formats & rules (including beach & Hong Kong 6's)
- built-in domestic & international competitions & customisable tournaments
- detailed simulation & commentary engine
- some features not seen in other games, e.g. ball deformation & discolouration
Some in-game screenies:
Like the devlog status says it's around 80% complete. Once I've finished career mode, I need to revamp the UI and commission someone to create some 3D stadia for me. At that point, I think I'll call time on this project
I've set up a temporary website for the game over
http://cricketheroes.co.za/Downloads.html. You can find more information about the controls and a how-to-play there.
I'm not sure how many forumites here are fans of the genre, but I'm not expecting many eyes on this thread
Still, if you do manage to stumble on this, I'd appreciate any criticism/help...especially wrt the UI. Programmer art sucks.
Cheers!
K
