Hi nice pixels mush Hey thanks, that means a lot coming from you Here's an in-depth look at my spriting process, hopefully it will be useful for aspiring pixelers. If you looked at the image, please send me a check for 20$ Also - finished up the dialogue. I got a bit lazy and wasnt working on it for a while. Im going to add the elevator for real next- and try to write more informative updates about stuff i did right/wrong. The main reason it took so long to do the dialogue is because i didn't bother checking if flashpunk had a built in wordwrap, which it did. So, i kind of wasted lots of time making a wordwrap that involved collision of the text and the menu box itself, which was stupid and dumb (stumb). Protip lesson learned - read the documentation.

Working on the office, the semi-hub-like-deal of the game, kind of? Here's some music http://tindeck.com/listen/ykyc for it, not sure if its quite good enough yet (probably not) next up is more tiles for the office, and then adding it

I am doing work with flashpunk now, I wanted to write a long fancy post about why i switched, but it the end it just comes down to when exprting to different playforms, haxepunks layer system acts different. So unless i felt like writing a ton if #if neko etc things.... Also a lot of the things dont work the same- text for instance was giving me a huge headache and all the hacky-work-arounds just got to be too much. THAT BEING SAID - i still recommend it, i love it actually, but it seems incomplete

At least you gave Haxe a go. I'm still using FlashPunk myself. HaxePunk seems great, but I'm in your boat. I don't want to have to spend hours tinkering just to get the basic functionality to where FlashPunk currently is.

no sleeping, everi finally finished the stupid item thing system, now i can add new stuff in like three seconds, time to make these maps then add combat then switches/locked doors and then ill post a demo

combat right now has three forms 1) attack using the crow swipe, or reflect their projectiles 2) launch a crow at someone 3)play pong with your own crow and aim for the weakspot for MASSIVE DAMAGE also 20%, i guess
