I'd say that's just the style. I, too, prefer the old run cycle, because it's more dynamic.

Wich doesn't necessarily mean he would walk slowly.

Hi. I'm a lurker! This is my first post :3
Okay. I just wanted to say I have problems with the current sprite. I'm not sure, but it just doesn't feel right for me. His pose feels awkward and his sleeves look awkward. It just looks really awkward to me. Am I the only one who feels this way?
And am I the only one who feels like it's better to just make a new sprite entirely?

I may be late on the walking and running, but the running is resemblant to those anime games that Trilby's creater hates so much. How about we use the walk animation at a fasterpace for running and a tiptoe based walk animation...
