They crash the game. :D
Also I really want the finished icon in the first release build, as it's so important to recognize the app.

Well, fix the bug(s) and re-submit ASAP Once it's been submitted for review, check appreviewtimes.com to see how long you have then: - Change the icon (you can do this while waiting for review, I did)
- Compile a list of people you are going to contact, do some research
- Write your personalised press releases, including GFX etc.
- Create a presskit if you don't have one already
I think you'll be fine!

The bugs are already fixed. I have to clarify, the current release date is set to Feb 26, so it's not on the store yet. My artist said he'll do the new icon today, so that should work out. I already have a list of people I want to contact and started writing the press release. All that is missing is the new version of the game to send it out to reviewers. The bad thing is, if the approval takes another 11 days, it will already be the 21st. If I start contacting reviewers then I doubt there will be any reviews out on launch. But if I delay it for another week, I will have to compete with the GDC, which might be even worse.

Great to meet you (briefly) at casual connect. Totally agree on the cake-cheese-sandwich. I refused to eat it but Steve (composer) gave it a go. He said it was pretty nasty!

It was great to meet you too. I feel a little ashamed though, as I still haven't played Guild of Dungeoneering. When I was doing my quick look at other tables I couldn't find it! :O Jussi has made some adjustment to the icon, what do you think? Does it show better what the game is about?

I've been trying to encapsulate the essence of SwapQuest into a single gif (inspired by the ingenious trailer gif for Threes). What do you think?

I love it! I think it explains pretty clearly the mechanics of the game and what you can do.

Its not independent thats why I cannot put a develog but its more on the lines of "swapping tiles and complete the picture" game we used to play as kids

I tried adding the Horde to the gif, but it didn't really work out, as it was very distracting and also made the file size huge (from 0.7mb to 5mb). But nevertheless I made an update, as I didn't like speeding it up. So now I made the character move a lot faster to make it shorter. What do you think? Also, do you think this would be cool to have on the official website (in the two devices)? SwapQuest.de----- In other news, I implemented image sharing, so that you can show off your score on Twitter and Facebook. It took a while but now I'm really satisfied with it. The background changes depending on the last level you played.

this game looks super fun, is it available on android yet? Jussi has made some adjustment to the icon, what do you think? Does it show better what the game is about? the artwork is nice, but its too busy. i would seriously consider reducing it to one character in front of a flat color. this will catch more eyes & help it stand out in the sea of other icons. Another alternative is to make the ground tiles the focus. Right now, theyre obscured by the characters, & if I didnt already know how the game plays, I wouldnt be able to tell from that icon that the ground was anything special. Check out the Spelltower icon, I think you could do something along the same lines as this, & it would communicate what your game is about much more clearly. good luck!

@siskavard Thanks a lot for your feedback, I will discuss it with Jussi, the artist of SwapQuest. The game will be released for iOS first (sometime next month, can't say the exact date yet) and then a little bit later for Android.

In two days SwapQuest will be released on the Appstore!Today I want to spotlight an element of the game that didn't get the attention it deserves until now: the soundtrack. SwapQuest has an amazing soundtrack by the very talented André Weiß ( Symphonic Square), with complex orchestral arrangements and a lot of character. This is not the typical marketing talk when I say that I love the soundtrack André did. So if you have any love for videogame music, take a minute to listen to some tracks and consider buying the soundtrack! I've made a short trailer showcasing some of my personal favorites, but you can also listen to the whole soundtrack on Bandcamp.
