Hi everyone, we want present you our first game which is currently in development. It will be great to know your opinion and we are really appriciate your time and comments.
Leave the farms and cities behind and jump straight into managing your own planets in The Universim, a brand new god-game in development by Crytivo Games and Alexander Koshelkov.
The Universim is, first and foremost, a planet management game. Your civilization will begin in the Stone Age, thousands of years before the modern era. Research plays a crucial role in the game. For example players will initially need to take on such challenges as reinventing fire in order to survive attacks from wild animals, creating cures for deadly viruses and other potential threats to your civilization. We are developing realistic planets that will have air, weather effects, and varying temperatures as well as natural resources and deadly natural disasters such as earthquakes, tornadoes, freak storms and meteors. In The Universim you have a godlike ability to make decisions that play another crucial role in the game. While you will not interact directly with the population that inhabits your planet, you will be able to guide them through their development and influence their decisions for better or worse. Choices in the game extend from ending wars between cities on your planet or watching as one city destroys the other, to influencing the research path of your civilization, and much much more.
Your civilization can advance all the way to the modern era and beyond! As your planet’s sciences develop, ability to research and construct spaceships becomes available. This allows players to start exploring the universe and discover new planets with completely different environments, living conditions, and gameplay possibilities. An example of a decision players will have to make at this stage of the game is: Will you spend time on research that will assist in the discovery of new planets and achieve early understanding of its alien environment, or you will send your team in unprepared? There are many conditions that will affect your research team and the outcome of a mission- such as the temperatures on new planets being far higher than the temperature on your home planet which can result in your entire crew burning alive. Another scenario can be that there is no oxygen available on the planet and thus sending your crew in without proper breathing apparatus or atmosphere generators can lead to disaster.
At Crytivo Games we strive to develop unique game experiences without the limitations that plague so many others. We are doing absolutely everything we can to ensure that the player’s gameplay experience is always enjoyable when managing their planets, no matter their play-style. Because the game is still in early development, there are many elements that still need to be implemented in The Universim. We even hope to eventually implement a complex and exhilarating multiplayer mode where you can connect with up to 4 friends in online co-op environments or in a competitive versus mode. There are many interesting ways in which you can assist your friends, or leave their civilizations in ruin. You will have the ability to send your friends natural resources such as gas, oil, water, air, or even send enemies deadly viruses hidden within Cargo Spaceship Containers wrapped as a gift. Alternatively, if you believe that you have the nuclear strength to erase your friends from the face of the universe; go ahead and launch those missiles and watch them sweat as death rains down upon them. The possibilities are endless!
The beauty of this kind of game is the freedom we have to experiment and continue to add amazing new content regularly. That is what makes all of the hard work worth it. We have only scratched the surface of what we hope to accomplish with the information and features listed here. Together as development continues, we can implement so much more. With the community by our side, we can undoubtedly transform this game into the best planet management game ever created. That being said, we take your feedback seriously and are always willing to listen to what you have to say. We want to ensure that we are allocating our time and resources on the features YOU want to see in the final game, so let us know what you think.
Introducing Prometheus
New The Universim in-game engine
The biggest news is that we have begun work on an ambitious new in-game engine that we have titled ‘Prometheus’. And it will shake the very foundation of the core gameplay. Prometheus will simulate living planets in the game and will be responsible for both micro and macro world events. It will manage things like air density, vegetation and living creatures, natural resources, temperature, biome generation, and even dynamic events. Dynamic events consist of things like the changing of seasons and natural disasters. Season change will have a far more drastic effect than you may think. Winters in particular can be incredibly brutal. Some winters will last longer than others, and with them comes unimaginable cold. Food will become scarce, development will slow to a crawl, and sufficient shelter will be the only thing keeping your civilization alive. You had better prepare for whatever Prometheus has to offer.

www.TheUniversim.com Natural disasters include events such as tornadoes, earthquakes, viruses, meteors, and so much more. It is up to you to find solutions to these problems, or if the worst comes, begin anew with a better strategy.
All of these things, and more, will be handled by Prometheus in the game. But remember, Prometheus isn’t your friend. It will constantly challenge and surprise you. The system also handles planet generation, and while every planet you encounter can be colonized, it can be particularly difficult to do so in some instances. You need to develop the right technology to survive in certain conditions. If you fail to come prepared, Prometheus will ensure that your crew never makes it back home again.
