The screenshots are ingame captures without any kind to posproduction, hot directly from the build.
We have spent a lof time researching how to really give the impression of dealing with the look&feel of japanese paper textures.
We are pretty much very happy with the results, and we are not even where we want to be, which means that we have still a lot of work in fine tuning.
We will be giving more details about the game and its mechanics in the upcoming days, but I think that it will be a breeze of fresh air.

Thanks a lot. We have tried to put our maximum care and knowledge into it, expecting that people would like it. For us it is very good to see that it seems that we have at least achieved one of our goals, now let's hope that people will love it also for the fun that it will have if we are able to develop it as we want.
Regards,

Looks really fantastic. I too got a little big planet vibe. Great stuff! Did you bake in ambient occlusion? It all looks so real.

Good eye, we use a lot of different effects one them effectivly being the ambient occlusion baked. The materials are also very important, as well as the characters were conceptualized. Our main goal as trying to get that sense of really be looking at a real papercrafted or origami characteres.
Cheers

All I gotta say is don't fuck up gameplay. That would diss your art. "Holy fuck" was my first reaction. (That's positive)

very pragmatic answer, and I can say that it will try at our max to standup to the same level with the gameplay than with the art direction. We will be giving more info in the upcoming days, but I can say, that we think that the gameplay will be very innovative and blend different genres into unique and fun gameplay proposition. One of the reasons that we are also coming into the indies forums is precisely to collect feedback from other developers and players as to move the development inline with the expectations. Cheers.
