Hey all! Wrath Against Time is an old-school 2D Beat em Up/Brawler in the vein of games like Streets of Rage 2 being created by one artist (me) one coder, one audio wizard and three musicians.
The essence of the idea was to create the kind of game that made me a gamer in the first place, to make that game with the advantages of today, to keep it 2d, to make a fun co-op game, and to reduce the sense of repetition that often sets in with the beat em up as a genre.
This led to a time-travel premise, where the characters, enemy types, levels, music, bosses, weapons and so on are all drastically impacted by the era they are found in. In terms of gameplay, we will feature 4 playable characters with individual movesets with unlockable attacks and abilities to be learned. Beyond this, we will have a variety of Special Items that can be found in the world and used to help the player or hurt their opponents. Further these can be fused to create a wide variety of battle options.
We have been working on the game for quite awhile now, but I have learned I am atrocious at estimating how close we are to completion (Take that 70% with a grain of salt). Currently I am focusing on polishing up assets to get the game video ready. Here are some WIPs:
