After many iterations and failed attempts, I've finally found my way to the background style for the game.  Here's the latest prototype build featuring some of the new background art:

The way he swings seems to really break the flow of your motion. I can't really be sure, since I'm not playing it, but it seems to just take a little too long and ruin the satisfaction of flowing the movements together. Maybe make it so you can jump off on that first motion with a well timed button press?

I believe it's possible to jump off immediately if you time it correctly (I just like showing the animation), but now I'll keep my eye on this for the next update, thanks!

Whoa man this is awesome! I am so glad I randomly stumbled upon this game after FlipswitchX hosted your stream on his twitch.

I love the quality of the animations and the unique and funny idea for gameplay. Your BGS are freaking awesome too.

Do you have any experience with parkouring? The moves that you've shown seem like it took a lot of knowledge to pull the animation off.

Also I like the breakdowns you used for the coffee mascot, gives it a nice loosey goosey kind of feeling.

Can't wait to see more!

I hope more people see this game and all the hard work you are putting into it.

I've seen your game come across my twitter feed a few times now. I really love how god damn lively every singe animation looks

As a former owner of two guineas I'm completely on board for this. Please just make sure your squeak SFX budget is appropriately high, because it's a very important part of guinea pig ownership Smiley

Thanks so much!  No experience with parkour, just lots of reference video :D

I know I haven't posted on here in a while, but if you're interested in where development has gone, I just launched a Kickstarter for the game!  You can check it out here.

And here's the trailer:

Thanks!

Hey everyone! I released a pre-alpha demo this week on Steam as part of the Game Awards Festival.

It'll only be up for a limited time, so check it out now if you're interested!

Here's a quick video of gameplay with some behind-the-scenes on how I made the animations:
