Work on the Goblin King's animations has begun. These are pretty tedious but incredibly rewarding when finished. It's not everyday you get to animate a fat green guy levitating from his own fart  Tongue

Oh look, they have a cave troll!

Work on this tier 3 minion begins. He will bash his enemies with his club, regenerate wounds and vomit on anyone stupid enough to get close to him for good measure. All i seem to animate lately is farts and vomit... im an adult i promise.

Been a while since i update on here!

The Goblin King patch has been released and went down well with the community, so on to the next patch!

The next dungeon will be undead themed so i have a bunch of new undeads that need pixeling! First off the press is a shamblin zombie  Evil

The next monster to enter the dungeon will be the death knight. He is going to come in a few flavours; death knight, devil knight, frost knight, and bile knight. Ive only done one facing thus far so back to it!

Working on a brand new lobby system to help facilitate changes to the way the game works. The old team selection seemed to confuse people at first so now teams will be chosen before entering character selection. Character selection is now going to randomised to a locked order so its not a race to get the character you want.

Working on Champion variants for all the base monsters. These will be tougher and have random abilities and other nasties. They have more glow in the dark features than the normal types... obviously this equates to more power.

The Troll Champions have turned out pretty badass!

As far as random traits go i have implemented:

-Haste (increased move speed)
-Regen (regenerate hp over time)
-Nova (chance to emit a burst of elemental damage)
-Big (Increased size more HP)

Today im moving on to

-Multishot (multiple projectiles on attack)
-Silence (chance to silence e non attack)
-Daze (chance to daze on attack)
-Stun (chance to stun on attack)

I might leave it at that point as a base chart for Champions to pull traits from. Probably more added down the line!

Is the art that zoomed in in-game? Judging from the screenshots, it's not. I think art would look better if you didn't zoom in that much.

This looks a lot better to me:


It's less overbearing visually so to speak.

In game resolution is close to the screencap you have posted. My screencaps on here are usually a little zoomed simply to show detail.

A score system has been added to Gauntlet Mode along with a shiny new HUD!

I watched Man Vs Snake the other night and knew i needed to add a score system to Gauntlet immediately. Getting a high score is just one of those well trodden game design tropes. No point re-inventing the wheel here! Gauntlet is really shaping up into a challenging mode now. I think I will add a key system next so you can't just run to the exit if the monster spawns end up too difficult.

The new score system has been added to Tournament! So at the end of each game you can see how well you did in each field (and how much your opponents sucked)
