I like the new style. Just be wary of scope creep! And I'm still liking how ridiculous this game is!

Yeah, that's why I'm doing this early. If I had more design done I'd probably just plug along, but I've been focusing on systems so I can do stuff like this all I need to at this point.

I think the idea is nice, but the implementation is a little jarring. Can you make it smoother?

It all depends on how you handle it. Be careful that it doesn't turn into those LOLRANDOM crashzoom + dutch angle joke things. If it's gentle and smooth you can use it to give focus, or for example give the impression two characters are whispering and nobody else can hear them.

I like the zoom. I think in the first image it looks jarring because the camera arrives at the final position while it's still zooming, rather than the interpolation being locked together?

Small ThingsThe majority of what I'm doing now is actually level design and stuff nobody would really care about.... Also wrote some simple networking for co-op ChickenSword... just in case that's something someone might like........

Must've been boring. Yup, also they can be mean as hell. Once I had a rooster that attacked my mom, long story short, we had chicken for dinner Anyway, back on topic!

I think I'd prefer if just big portraits of the characters popped up on screen with their text under them Oh oh, or if you did a 2 camera flip flop between showing the back of the head of the person being talked too and the front of the person talking's face with a background that was different depending on the area or that was generic and just mean to represent the mood of the person speaking. When ever the chicken was talking, you'd see the back of the feet of the person being spoken too rather than the back of the head.

Zoom is awesome, keep it! I'd love to see a promo video for this using the Zelda Cucco attack intro; "Chickens have taken shit for too long! It's time for an uprising!" This *also* makes me think of Samurai Jack as a chicken...

And I'm curious to see when someone starts working on a DinochickenSword after seeing this project and Dinosword for a while.

I mulled other named in light of the other similar ones, but FowlFoil just doesn't excite.

I think the name ChickenSword is fine, and I think the game looks fun, too. I just have a son who's really into paleontology, so I was familiar with the dinochicken (AKA chickenosaurus) concept and couldn't resist.
Didn't know about Frog Sord, and sadly "dinofrogchicken" doesn't turn up any hits.
