Well I think it looks fun, especially the screen warp on the big box.
ETA on a demo?

Yeah the Warp of the big box is super cool and adds an additional dimension to it, didn't actually think of that when the idea first came. It's something Case added when he was testing the function out!

We've just got a new programmer on the team, he's getting used to things and we're working on getting functional menus for a good loop to work. We've got quite a lot of work to do on traps in other levels, which I'm working on today. I suspect it won't take too long though, we'll keep you posted =)

I gather those are some pretty strong magnets. Or magical creatures do not need to adhere to the laws of gravity.

Looks neat though, I like these style games so I'm gonna follow.

Shouldn't the players be switching gravity as well?

@blekdar

Like I answered to the previous comment about this. This is merely a test so we've not applied the switch gravity function to players yet. In the end, everything on the arena will be affected by you or another player pressing the "reverse gravity"
button =)

Thanks for following!

LOL! I saw him get crushed first, then the image looped. And I'm like how is he going to get the guy up there... I like the infinitely looping level. Cool stuff. Smiley

Whoa hi we're back. We took some time to really buckle down on an iOS game called Samurai Blitz. It's planned to release on June 25th (if Apple is good to us), check out the trailer!

Today we all get back to Spooks N' Spikes, and we've decided to rebuild it from scratch. Here's some new stuff so far!

Re-designed forest environment and new character sprites

Day 1 rebuilding of the basic mechanics and trying out the new character animations

Everyone is now on the game, so we'll be updating much more often!

From a technical point of view, why have you decided to rebuild the mechanics from scratch? Were you using Unity's physics and switched to custom or anything like that?
I'm pretty curious about this decision Smiley

I'm also curious, why are you developing from scratch? You seemed to have done A LOT of engine work.

Your pixel art is stunning, the animations are incredible. Really looking forward to trying this. I can't imagine a fast paced fighter will work well on touch devices, so what platforms are you planning to publish on? Sorry if you've already answered this.

Seems fun and i really like the character animation (i remember seeing the frog on twitter and saving it  Smiley )
The background in the latest pic reminds me .. a little too much of kerfuffle though  Who, Me?
