I far far prefer the realistic look and think it would really show off your obviously brilliant artistic talent! That motion blur is great too. Really beautiful game!

Give us an option to choose between both.
But I like the low poly. It sets your style apart.

+1 low poly.
It won't take long time before low poly oversaturate the market as it seems to be the new trend.

Thanks guys for the feedback It seems that most people I asked prefer the realistic version. The good thing is that most also do not dislike the lowpoly version. So, I've decided to ... make both The lowpoly one first, as it is easier, in Q4 2015, and the realistic one, that require more time, much later, probably in Q4 2016. Releasing both in the same game is not possible, as the road system is different, not to mention that it will require as much work as making 2 different games in term of assets... I'll try to update this thread regularly with new screenshots and videos showing the game's progress

Yeah, definitely a fan of the higher poly version. But, if you're going for both, that works too Interested to see where this goes.

Night Riders VS Super Night Riders Here's an animation of the same track transition in the two games: [EDITED] I'm quite happy with the new look and feel of SNR. What do you think guys?

Oh.... Yeah!
Rockin' music. Check. Nice settings. Check. Speed. Check.
Two little things: The trail behind the bike is a bit weird. The biker's head could be a little bit lower. She's blasting at 175Km/h, so she should be crouching behind the mirror, no?
Suggestions: A rear view mirror, perhaps? A wooshing sound when you overtake another vehicle. There will be more vehicles on the road amirite? Semi trucks, cows crossing the road in the nature setting, cars... When watching the gameplay, one notices the scenery is a bit barren, maybe add a vulture in the desert, for the lulz.
Rest is perfect. I want this.

@doczal: Thanks! @eyeliner: What is it that you don't like about the trail? Can you please be a bit more precise? The rear mirror is not possible technically, as there is nothing behind the player There is a sound when passing by other riders, though it might be too low currently. Thanks for the ideas! Though this game is inspired by Hang-On, not Road Rash

This is looking really supppper! I don't know if you know about this cool anime-movie called Redline ( not the movie!), it's fast as hell, I would suggest anyone making a racing game to watch it. There is no proper story development, the fun comes from the juiciness that comes out of the screen.

Looking great !
I got one comment. Maybe I'm wrong but the contrast from the sky and the low poly clouds may be a bit too high. Looking at your stills, my view constantly wants to shift to the clouds. Or it may just be the contrast in the cloud itself.
Anyway, good job I love the art better with low poly.

Hey man! Really digging what you have going here! Though that discussion seems to be long gone, I am also in favor of low poly, It stands out!
A few details that stuck out to me, aside from the awesome music and baby-butt smooth transitions (among other positives given):
1. The only one I really notice is the leaning animation. Rather than it be a fluid transition from "upright" to "tilting", the movement of the character's body in the fashion is one after the other. It seems jagged:
It is: Sitting up right --> Guitar tilted --> body titles, rather than Sitting up right ---> guitar tilt/body tilt combination
Aside from that, keep up the good work! It's coming along nicely!

@blankfox_: Thanks! Do you mean the clouds are too bright compared to the sky?
@M4uesviecr: Thanks! Yes, the bike / body animations are a bit off currently, I'll fix it.

I really can't decide between the two styles - they both have their charm. The high poly obviously looks much slicker - and I think it will give a faster -feel- to the game, with the motion blur, etc. The low poly is very charming, but feels a bit slower to me. I feel like I'm watching Pole Position, except with motorcycles.
