The work of Herman Serrano, who now works as a designer at Sega or something boring like that, but who used to be responsible for some of the most recognizable pixel art anywhere. We always used to look for the little 'HERMAN' signature in the corner of his title screens, some of which I've collected here.

We can learn a lot from you even today, Herman.

Beer!

Now, I'm no art historian. It doesn't say on the credits for Wing Commander just what Herman contributed. But wouldn't you say, this looks like his work?

Man, this guy was awesome! I recognise a lot of the games, too; I used to love Wreckers, and had a poster version of that image on my wall. I'm pretty sure I had the artwork for Magic Fly on my wall at some stage, too, and his pixel rendition is incredibly faithful to the original, considering the limitations. Also, this is from Weird Dreams, right?

I remember being impressed by the game's graphics in general, though the game itself received poor reviews.

Edit: Wait, that's not Magic Fly, it's Psygnosis' Infestation! I always mixed those two up (I don't know why; Magic Fly didn't have any insects in it).

Yeah, weird dreams. It was quite unplayable, for some reason, but the graphics were very good.
