THIS IS THE IMAGE-HEAVY THREAD FOR ALL THINGS ANTHROPOMORPHIC AND AMPHIBIAN THAT KICK PEOPLE'S ASSES.(This is so ridiculously geeky.) TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES STARTED IT ALL
Everyone knows about these guys, so let me just lay down some of the more interesting TMNT stuff I've found on the 'net: turtles by famous indie comic artists (James Jean shown above), xkcdPerry Bible Fellowship(cool drawing by Rick Remender)my good friend, hellen johttp://dumbbaby.net/a/125.shtml - Gut-busting review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters! BATTLETOADS ROCK MY WORLD
Guys, I love Battletoads. In my mind, the Battletoads are, dare I say it, even cooler than the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They're just so much more hardboiled and over-the-top. How can you not love them? And the NES game was amazing. Amazingly fun and amazingly hard. And did you know there was a Battletoads coin-op?! I'm watching a "speed run" right now and it looks even more intense than any other version of the game. Your fists can turn into giant drills?! Look at all that gore! And the music and all the heavy grunting... it's so testosteroney. This game is more macho than if you took out all the muscles from Mark McGuire, Jose Canseco, and Barry Bonds, sewed them together, and then juiced the whole thing with bull hormones. Look at the 'toads! They look like they were drawn by Boris Vallejo on PCP! Here's the link: The Turtles had April O'Neill, the "girl-next-door" journalist that favored yellow jumpsuits. The 'toads had the Dark Queen, who... well, she was basically a big-breasted dominatrix from space. So yeah. The Dark Queen helped me get through puberty, y'all. BUCKY O'HARE HAD SOME SPACE TOADS That's really all I know about that. OPINE. I mean, DISCUSS.

That first illustration of TMNT satiates my eyebuds. Actually, all of those but the pie-chart do.
So, uh, yeah. I vote Ninja Turtles!

Ninja Ambhibians are the best. There was an episode of ninja turtles where some of the green ooze that mutated the turtles fell on some frogs. They turned into the teenage mutant punk frogs: // no rikey fortune city images They were awesome characters and since shredder raised them, they were named after his heroes: Attila the Frog, Genghis Frog, Rasputin the Mad Frog, and Napoleon Bonafrog.

Buck O' Hare wins. It had a pirate duck with four arms. Actually, I think ducks should qualify for this thread as well, as they are as amphibian as turtles, which are actually reptiles. Napoleon Bonafrog.

that'd be turtles for me too fun fact: there was a brief and bizarre michael zulli run on tmnt called 'souls winter'. it featured all the same characters although they looked more uhh...realistic? or as realistic as a adolescent aberrant martial art amphibian can look anyways. see for yourself: pretty weird huh? they recently released a tpb collecting all of the issues - i have it, it's really weird, but it's an interesting turtle artifact. here are some other mutantated teenagers (although not reptillian) these came at a time in my life when i started to realize that not all aberrant martial arts adolescent cartoon are created equal. these two clearly sucked balls. interestingly enough, a BMFM game was released not too long ago, for the ds. \

usagi is one of those cases where the work transcends the genre - anthropomorphism or (shudder) furrys.
its a real classy series, i even have a sketch of usagi by sakai! i bet the comic would make a great game, kinda like, samurai showdown with animals?

There was a C=64 Usagi Yojimbo game made, I think it was called Ronin Rabbit in some countries, and is in fact how I first heard about the little fella.

What's awesome about the Usagi Yojimbo game that isn't shown in the video is that you have to behave honourably. If you kill a peasant on the path, for example, Usagi will sit down and commit seppuku right there on the road.
Also note the karma score!
