From thy picture, do you have the EYE to put the liner on?

But still, I shall remember you fondly, in case you abandon me. Cry

Apparently it has IR pointing http://letsplayvideogames.com/2016/10/report-nintendo-switchs-right-joy-con-offers-ir-pointer-functionality/

But the pointer at the bottom of the controller seems weird...

So.. each Joy con has 8 buttons!

That's a lot of buttons. I wonder if you can use all of them. Hope there's a new Wario Ware for this thing, so many possibilities!

That thing will not snap on from the top, it will slide like the rest of the console. But overall yeah that's what it looks like.

Virtual Bop-it!

Hand Any Key Hand Joystick Hand Clap

But yeah, a WarioWare would be cool. I wonder if it would be like the Wii one, where you have to change control schemes (which was fun, but it seems more involved and slow with the Switch).

I dunno about the extra clip-on attachment - it might just be shaped like that.

seriously? videogames on analog media haven't been around since the 80s, so it's pretty damn obvious that "digital" has to refer to something else in the context of a new game (like digital distribution maybe??). it wouldn't be a meaningful distinction otherwise.
I've actually never heard the term used that way before. Silly me. I know he didn't mean cassette tapes, it was a joke.

Playing videogames from cassettes should be a new hipster trend.

bring back tape loaders (they typically had the best tune of the game, on a machine where 90% of the game's artistic/entertainment/philosophical value was the music)

I'm also pretty sure the SID chip inside accounts for 90% of a C64's resale value

Haha, that's funny. It'd actually be interesting if the gameplay became more "warm" and less "clear", like you could move slightly into walls and stuff because of tapes.

You people have a fundamental misunderstanding of how programming and games work, which is ironic considering the web site we're on.

Scanline, cathode blur, vcr scratch, screen barrel deformation, chromatic aberration, where have you all been the last indie revolution boom?

Now imagine someone doing those things well instead of an exaggerated and naïve perversion of them
