I always like to live on top of mountains, i only recently carved a staircase down it to the ground level where my mine shaft is.
I still gotta find more magma for my moat...

I can't remember if I posted here yet or not... but I just had to stop by to say that this game is incredibly addictive. Even if I'm just doing stupid things like tunneling down to the lava and then trying to dig a really long passage underground in the hopes of finding secret block caves, I'm having fun doing it.

Am I a bad person? I got the Alpha discount but I'm not really playing that much because I don't want to burn myself out on Minecraft before all the content I really want is added. Some alpha tester I am.

I read on /. that Paypal is shorting Notch 600k until "funny business" with his account is sorted. Remember what I said about money tending to attract legal problems? Yup. Good time to have a lawyer. edit: This or this are your replacement, the sooner you get away from paypal the better. When you have to pay taxes, you're not going to enjoy having used paypal.

I wouldn't approach paypal with a ten-foot-pole, they've been doing this shit for ages. Also: Notche's mistake for leaving 600k on a paypal account.

That's the money that's accumulated since it was locked.

This or this are your replacement, the sooner you get away from paypal the better. When you have to pay taxes, you're not going to enjoy having used paypal. Plimus is notoriously bad. BMTMicro (and FastSpring, btw) on the other hand have much better reputation.

Yes that's why I linked it second. Plimus also has a much better affiliate system but that's not so advantageous for Notch. Just trying to give him a starting point to not get screwed. I have a lot of other advice for him but I'm trying to dish it out in small bites so he doesn't think I'm an ass. Last time didn't go so well

What would you guys prefer: risk getting 600k euros stolen from your account, or being required to take an extra measure to identify yourself before withdrawing it yourself?

The point is most of the alternatives to paypal aren't global yet. Even google's version is us and uk only, which is a problem as notch isn't in either of those and loads of his customers aren't either. Paypal is awful, sure, but there's really no good alternative.

Watch us find out in a month that Notch was running a meth ring and Minecraft was just a front.

We used Plimus for Aquaria, it was okay...
They take a bigger cut than PayPal, (10% or something?) but we've never had a problem getting paid by them.

Damnit. Spent all yesterday playing, along with my housemates. Uninstalling. It's cool how it's getting along, though : )
