The Killing Floor North, for a 2d platformer survival gaem
That really isn't enough information to go on.

That really isn't enough information to go on. I'd say it's confusing side to side with "killing floor" a very popular horror game on steam

Okay guys. So I have this game. It was originally a mini roguelike so I called it MicRogue. Now I don't know if I am a huge fan of the name so anybody have any good ideas. You are a dwarf fighter named Kogan who storms the evil lords tower trying to steal as much gold as possible so you can become rich, doing this before the night is over and the evil lord wakes up.
If your characters last name were to be McRogue, that could be the name of the game. I think it sounds cool. Hi, my name is McRouge, Kogan McRogue.

I have a generic ass name for my game (PaperPixelPlatformer). Reason was to let the general user know about the game with just the title alone. Although the more I work on it the more I start disliking it. Would love some feedback on it to see if I should keep or ditch Some slight more info http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=25637.0Thanks "EXIST"

I love this one btw, don't have to overthink it and it's perfect

What do you guys think of my current game project called 16 Color Story? A majority of you know that 15 colors plus transparency is a format - is that the right word - for making pixel games. I like it and don't see how it could change but I'm open to ideas if anyone has any.

It's too long and not really fancy enough. Come up with something innovative

"Be Stiff!"
Well it's a game about sneaking, a 2D platform where you can hack stuff, use a grappling hook and shooting people.
's a video, and
's a very old video (the music is not mine in this one).
A friend of mine says that "Be Stiff" fits better in a porn movie title than a game, so... I guess I should think on something else.

that video looks pretty cool. I'm not sure what 'Be Stiff' is supposed to mean, it doesn't sound like a porn film to me, but I'm not exactly sure what it does sound like. It doesn't make me think of spies or stealth

Thanks! I'm not sure what 'Be Stiff' is supposed to mean, it doesn't sound like a porn film to me, but I'm not exactly sure what it does sound like. It doesn't make me think of spies or stealth Well, to be honest, when I was thinking about the name, I was listening a DEVO album, and just when I was coding the rope of the grappling hook (finding a way to adding stiffness to it), "Be Stiff" started to play, so I thought "why not", and decided to name the character as "Stiff" and the game "Be Stiff!". But I guess I should think about something better that gives an better idea about the game.

I'm working on a game called "Dungeon Dashers". Devlog here: http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=24783.0Personally, I'm not too fond of the name at the moment. I'm hoping to change it later, but nothing good has come to mind yet. I think that there are a lot of games out now with the word "Dungeon" in the title. How bad is the name at the moment?

@Pnikosis: I like Be Stiff! It piques my interest. Buuuuuut, I don't think being stiff is something that goes hand in hand with being stealthy. So.
@JigxorAndy: Avoid 'dungeon' and go for something distinct. I looked at the first image in your devlog and was reminded of a game called Get Medieval, which is a pretty memorable name.

I have an MMORPG in the works. Its story and theatrics are based on real events throughout history but twisted and exaggerated to appeal as fantasy. You also develop your character into a powerful legend of your own path. I want to call this game "True Story" for it has duality and misdirection to the name. Plus I believe games with names that include simple terms are easier for players to affiliate themselves with.

Imo when naming a game, you should look at, how popular the phrase is in google. If the phrase is very popular, then it might be hard to google search for your game. edit: a good example

I'm thinking of changing my game's name from 16 Color Story to Blocky Blocks. I'm really aiming for a weird/cute outer space planet building (with blocks) game with a deep story so I think this title fits better. What do you guys think?

I prefer the first one better, it's more quirky and the 2nd reminds me of Boom Blox, etc. - it doesn't suggest the "story" in it.

What about something like Planet Block? Something that shows that you're building your own planet.
