Hello this is Pencerkoff

Having just completed a Game Maker tutorial about how to make a Doom-like game, I was thinking someone could make a few sprites for that type of game.  I really want to make that style game, but I haven't noticed many large textures out there.

So make some textures that can be tiled, something big like 32x32 or 64x64.

Ideas:
   sky
   floor tiles
   brick walls
   doors
   corny wallpaper

Anybody thinking about making sprites specifically for a visual novel type game? That could be pretty interesting, I think.

I though about drawing some blackboard places/landscapes for a visual novel / adventure. But I don't know if anyone's interested in that kind of work.

Some more lo-fi isometric or 3/4 view sprites would be nice.

To give games just that certain something, someone should consider making some images of random badly translated stylized words or phrases.

Example:
"Battle times!"
"Win up!"
"Loused the race"
"Escaping!"
"Bonus score!"
"Shiny thing GET!"

Combined with random Japanese characters, this could really add to the inevitable nonsensicalness of some entries.

I've got more ideas with that:

"Crear-ra bonus-su!"
"Score no Boald!"
"Item get yatta!"

etc.

I'd really appreciate an eating animation, any kind of creature would be fine, it just needs to be able to eat something beside it, preferably of a similar size.

I'm formulating an idea!

Sorry if this is a bit too specific for a suggestion, but I've got a game idea in my mind and this would complete it. Cheers!

A few large character portraits would be interesting, maybe as customizable (face - hair -body) components.
Also an overland map would be nice.

i'd like to repeat my request for parallax layers - without sounding like an asshole (this may not be possible)

also some generic wild west / cowboy themed arts would be peachy

Also, is there any chance of some particles? Smoke, explosions, rain, etc.

I'd like to second explosions.  It would be nice to have some animated explosions, since they can work in multiple genres of games, can be used in either 2d or 3d games, and can be used to make just about anything die( even if it doesn't have a death animation ).

It would also be helpful if there were more projectiles,  unless I've missed them in the threads here.

Thanks

ANIMATE YOUR SPRITES PLEASE

Only so much we can do with a ton of static stuff. Pick one of your sprites and just try to animate it, I beg you. Beg

More animated sprites and backgrounds would be FAN-TAS-TIC!  I don't even care what kind of animated sprites or back grounds.  I know you guys are creative and have tons of good ideas, and I like finding uses for things.

Assorted songs suitable for a rhythm game would be awesome! (upbeat, clear lead part) There may be some already.. so are any of yours are already suitable? Or make one, there's still time!  Smiley

People that created sillhouette sprites could also post white versions of them so we can blend whatever colors we want on them.
