What tech are you using? When you have a big set of sprites like that do you map it out as a texture atlas? Using anything to speed that up or do you have to select each sprite and mark them out?

What about animations? Particularly for the animals..

Superb looking stuff anyway

Hoooooly shit this looks great and I will now resume crying over how hard it is to do every part of a game alone. Looking forward to whenever this gets playable.

Love the aesthetic, and I think the variety is what really sells the concept. So many little details.

This is looking fantastic! If the other elements of the game even halfway live up to the visuals, you'll have a great game on your hands!

The colour vs b&w question is a real tough one. I agree with those who prefer some of the b&w images. Some of the coloured  pictures loose a little of the charm. However the colour brings a lot more life to the scene.

It would be great if you could incorporate both styles. I'm not sure if it would fit into your story but you could have certain parts of the game in b&w. For example, present tense might be represented by well defined colour images and a memory might be your sketch like b&w style. It would be a really nice way of contrasting the clarity of one scene and the "haziness" of another...

You somehow have to incorporate that b&w sketch style... I just love the idea of playing a game that feels like you've got a controller hooked up to a sketch book!

Can't wait to see more.
All the best!
