Thanks! Fixed it up some more, it should be about half done so far... Not sure whether to continue though, after all it's just for training.

that is lovely, Miguelito the way he's holding the gun looks a bit like the way a mother might swing her baby. It the back hand were more visible and the gun were pointing forward a bit more

No! No it's not! You are gonna make a game with this, or else!

I really like making trees. Will make some huge ones later. Can't decide which height I like the best though...

love this, great way to counter the hordes of over-sexualized boob bounce animations out there. would be even cooler if the boobs flopped around more independently.

Constantly rotating game! Can you fight off the bear, or will you succumb to motion sickness first? By all rights, I don't feel like this should be good. It feels like it defies a lot of basic pixel art rules. However, something about it just seems to transcend all of that and come together into a pretty cool style. I suggest dropping the pure black for dark areas, though. It needs refinement, but there's still something attractive abut it that I can't quite put my finger on.

I agree with this. There's a whole bunch of established rules in the realm of pixel art, anatomy and perspective that this piece simply defies ass-first, but it's still a great piece. It's got a kind of charm that you can't get around

If art had rules it would be a science, so fuck off.

There are so many ways that this isn't true.

Yeah you're right, that comparison to science was awfully unfounded.
However, I think it's very very silly to consider "rules" with art. Guidelines? Sure, of course. But standing there going "wow this breaks every rule but still looks good", well hmmmmmmm. Maybe it's not doing anything "wrong". The mindset of "art should be composed within these rules" is pretty unfoundedly restricting.
