The fun thing about a board game or any kind of game on paper is that you don't need ANY knowledge of programming, even then it makes a good practice of understanding a programming language or whatever.

What's PTT?
http://playthisthing.com/Game looks great, I'm a big fan of simple dungeon crawler board games, I spent a substantial amount of my childhood playing Dungeonquest and Warhammer Quest both alone and with friends. Also, be sure to post it on: http://boardgamegeek.com/

Still working on it, but this is my 3rd priority - I work on it when I'm not working at my day job and when I'm tired of working on Anything Beats Everything!
After posting this, I started writing clearer rules and tweaked a couple of things. What's really taking a lot of time is preparing the Print and Play files, and it's gonna take a little while longer than I hoped. But it's coming, soonish!

We have evolved, no longer just videogames, but all games, all indie.
This is great to see, and totally gets me pumped to finish the game I was working on.

Awesome! Your game looks like fun. I love tile laying exploration type games. Plus, you got a slick style.
Also, i would totally be down for a unofficial board game compo!

Some loot: and the supreme item... the Gem. I want the game to be colorful and flashy... I hope I'm getting there. Only 38 more to go!

Holy shit. Dom, this stuff is beautiful. Strangely enough, though, I came up with this idea not long ago. It's eerily similar to this, and I was going to make it, but it looks like you beat me to it. EDIT: Also, what are doing the graphics in? Just curious.

I just answered that question on Formspring, so here's a copy paste In Gem Dungeon, I designed the cards in Photoshop, building it slowly from the ground up. The items themselves I'm quickly drawing with pencil on paper, then scanning them in for coloring and shading, using a Wacom Tablet. The coloring is time consuming, but it's also very creative and fun to do. Then I do a bunch of effects, stack up the sketch linework with a Multiply Layer effect and a bit of blur to make it darker and prettier.
