Crops and stuff are on a grid, so that targeter is just showing you where you can and cannot use your tool.
Yeah I understand what its doing.. but but its not centered in front of the character! Seems odd :/ hurts my perfection complex.

The character isn't on a grid, so it can look odd depending on where you're standing.

xD I don't really see how it could be changed, unless I put the player on the grid, but that'd feel terrible.

Hmm, yeah I hear you. I'd probably put the character on the grid myself, but I've never thought that grid based movement felt terrible. (Probably to many decades of Ultima Online)

I actually prefer pixel perfect collisions. Even in games like this :p

I'm not a big fan of grid-based movement either.

grid based is the way to go.

especially since all of your farming things are based on the grid. its easy to get lost and miss otherwise

Like I said, I don't really like the way it feels to be on a grid. In fact, I hated how it felt in Witch Princess when I tried it a while back.

You could do what some of the games do and have it so when you hold down a button your character moves with grid movements. That wouldn't really solve the issue of the character not always lining up with the grid box for normal movement but it lets players have that grid based movement for precision farming.

Could be the "strafe" movement for the game. Like hold Shift + Direction key to lock direction and move inside the grid spaces.

Maybe, the few testers I have had haven't complained about accuracy, but when I do bigger test groups I'll make sure to ask them about it.

I gave her a new palette.

Your place holder art is still better than my real art.
Also this game looks better and better every time I see it. I am really looking forward to finally playing it

All of it, but I'll prob redo the graphics one more time since I feel like I can do it better.

really if I summarize it all up, what i need to do is

Finish the world art and tile it,
Add family system (wife + kids)
Give all the NPCs their diologue
Implement the storyline stuff
Add all the events (halloween, xmas, stuff like those)
Make the title screen and options and saving and stuff
and polish the game up

Then i'm done

He is nice and has a nice smile.
