Okay, last post tonight: DOCTORED SCREENSHOT1 & 2 are examples of the crazy fusion stuff I'm doing now (between oblong & struts). I kinda like it; these are some of the messiest examples. 3 is one of the new crackyglass graphics. Just above #1 (to the left a bit) is another formation I like! 4 is ?

The cave near the top interests me the most. I feel like it was what 4 was supposed to represent, but it's in there anyways.

So I'm cutting one of the Stance abilities -- I'm leaving only Vanguard Stance and I'm keeping it at second tier.
What the means is: suddenly, I have a free fifth-tier slot.
rearranged-->
TIER 2: Vanguard Stance, Smash Fist, Skull Stomp, (goodbye, "Mario Boots") Star Agility, Magnetism
TIER 5: --------- God Hand, Skull Dance, (upgraded version! oh my.) Asterisk (wait, why is the super star ability called asterisk? should i keep that?) ---------

Woohoo!
That new ability sounds pretty infinistomptastic to me. Infinistomptastic: full of infinistompitude.
Also I agree that "Skull Stomp" is a better name, although I never really liked the name "Mario Boots". Don't know why.

Surprised it's not called "Plumber's Helper."
I wonder if the new fifth-tier could be something along the lines of Yoshi's Island Ground Pound, or maybe something that makes stars bounce...

I made a demo-y build, at long last! Keep it on the down low. SWF download -- make absolutely sure you have Flash Player 11, or it'll cache sounds really slowly right from the beginning for no reason I can discern. --> Get the right player version here; don't get a debugger, just a "projector" EXE download -- the download's about three times as hefty, but you needn't worry about what version of Flash Player you have. NOTE: YOU MUST PUT THIS FILE IN A FOLDER CALLED PROB, or my cheery sitelock will prevent the game from running.

OOPS. Okay, one thing:
you have to put it in a folder called "PROB".

Works now for me and game is coming along nicely. Tried it at beginner and found it pretty hard but think it's just one of those games you need to play a bit to get used to. Maybe giving a few extra hits on beginner setting would help level it out. Like the gameplay and think the game seems to work really well. Will have to give it more of a go though to see how it further plays. Nice job

Thanks (:
I'm actually considering something of a second life in beginner mode: it'd make, for example, falling off the top/bottom somewhat less harsh. Still pretty harsh, but.
Anyway, thank you :3 Let me know if you feel like you're getting somewhere awesome :D
---> I just killed two bosses in 'EXPERT' mode (I renamed the 'normal' mode so that it sounds like there's more of a disparity). I made it to the third boss, but fell off the bottom ))):
I'm really glad I added those superhorrible enemies past 1km.\\
At 1km in beginner mode, the game will suggest you switch over to EXPERT. I'm not sure how to do that, though. I don't want to force it.

dearest friends here is a glorious new version as of MAY 4ththe game will not work unless you put it in a folder named PROBProbability 0, SWF (3.3 MB) -- needs Flash Player 11 from here (or can be run, as a local file, from your browser.)~or the easier option~ Probability 0, EXE (11.3 MB) -- bigger, but doesn't need Flash Player ^ if the EXE doesn't work, it's because i posted this before the upload finished because it's really late and i'm going to bed good night HERE IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE

Woohoo Probability 0 Avengers Edition!
EDIT: I like the new level up system, although I don't like the "You've gone this far" message As it takes up time and it's something I can see any time I want. If you could put a smaller version on the level up screen that would be nice though.
Also beginner and expert are the same, although that's probably intentional. Exiting the game gave me the error "Only trusted local files may cause the Flash Player to exit" which isn't really your fault.

three prominently changing, barely relevant numbers in peripheral vision are like animated avatars on forums, except i can't adblock them. game breaking
why can i select "probability 0" in the menu when activating it does nothing

there have always been prominently changing & irrelevant numbers in P0
are you bringing it up only now or has it always been game-broken
or are the current changes more breaking?

in the old downloadable version, only the healthbar annoyed me because it's in the middle. i can play with that. now that the depth indicators are brighter, pixelated, changing faster and swinging due to decimal point alignment, they fight for my attention as well

This is shaping really nicely. I liked the drum and bass chiptune and the difficulty of it. I would suggest if it is possible to know your health from an on-screen stat instead of making the player "assuming" it.

You can somewhat tell your health from an onscreen stat. Just look at how many digits your probability to survive has.
Also there is no pause button anymore. That's a problem.
