id like to add Eldritch to my list. just bought in steam sale and it's pretty damn good aside from the ugly minecraft graphics.

freeindiegam.es is doing best of lists now; of the puzzle list I thought let's play: ancient greek geometry was a pretty amazing one that I totally missed.

(I already edited to add it to my list earlier in the thread, but just wanted to point it out where people might see, too!)

Also I voted for puzzlescript even though that's a tool not a game Tongue

The Stanley Parable first. An absolutely superb game and Kevin Brighting's voice makes me feel proud to be British

I would have to say Gunpoint, Gone Home, and Anodyne.
Gunpoint is GOTY for me, easily one of my favorites of all time.

Papers, Please. I get the feeling it's going to be a real positive game-changer for years to come in a way few other games are. Certainly, it's a compelling, adult experience in a way that most games are too busy flattering you to be.

Gonna have to add Gone Home to my list after picking it up on Steam holiday sale. I don't know it's much of a game - but it's a well-crafted experience where the pacing of the story wouldn't have worked in another media format.

I guess my main vote will go to Gone Home.

There's been quite a few other cool games that have come out this year, but I still need to play them (I really need to get around to playing Papers, Please, Fjords, Samurai Gunn, Towerfall, Starseed Pilgrim and Fjords).
