Looking nice! I really dig the color palette on this, and that background gradient is just sexy. Animation seems very fluid.

going to be honest, I feel like it's lost a lot of the atmosphere from the first image. everything looks a lot brighter now and I think it had a more mysterious look to it when the underground just faded away into black. I think the closer zoom worked well for it too, it made it feel as if it was a dark night where you could only see so far ahead
the first screen looks amazing, this new one still looks really good though

yup, bg is rather wip and just thrown in there, hopefully it will become atmospheric again with a darker and more polished bg, the color scheme is also not final. The widescreen res is a bit to make the boss fights easier.

I guess I agree. Both are really nice, and depending on what you want to convey, either looks pretty in its own right, but the first one does have more of a gloomy mood, if that's the goal.
