Thanks for the investigation Falsen.
I've suspended some members in the list, giving them a chance to respond before removing them outright. One member has been deleted for multiple infractions.
I have to say that I'm very pleased with how some of you conduct yourselves, with respect towards others. I'm also profoundly disappointed with how some people just feel like using and not giving back. When I started this I envisioned links on the front page. After a while some people suggested moving the links to their about page, I didn't, and don't object. Now some sites hide their links in places you need a compass and guide to find.
I guess this is the standard for internet communities, but it boggles my mind how some people can waltz in, not read the rules, post their site excitedly, and expect everyone to feel privileged for being able to add them. Please just have some common courtesy.
From now on I will not add any site that requires more than one click to find the indie links, unless the first click passes through a splashscreen that has no text content.
Poya, your site looks nice, but please put the indies in your about page, or anywhere else that can be reached by one click from your main page.

Ok, I've updated everything, and added an optional list of twitter accounts to the top post. I think it's a good way to spread new release news, as long as everyone stays civil and doesn't spam, I'll retweet pertinent news.
@bentleyhg, I'll be happy to add you to the list when you follow the guidelines posted at the beginning of the thread.
I like the idea of retweeting important news like game releases. Could you add me to the list of twitters in the original post? Thanks. |
