@bluescrn I know what you mean about Leamington and indie devs, it is strange that a place with such an established number of studios has a low indie dev count (both studios and known individuals) can only think of Paul from mode 7, Binary Tweed, and would say Mike Blithel but then he's flown the coop down to London. That said though I know there are some wanabee indies lurking in the studios and digital agencies there, just need to coax them out. But as mentioned before theres a few who have very recently popped up over in B'ham such as OOP ( http://www.oopworld.co.uk/ ), Raw Games ( http://www.rawgames.co.uk/)and Distorted Poetry ( http://www.facebook.com/DistortedPoetry).

I know a few guys (but not many) at work who are also hobby developers (though not necessarily with full indie ambitions) - I'll see if I can tempt them to come along for one of these get-togethers.
But yeah, it's weird to work at a big games company, and find that so few of my colleagues are interested in indie development...

I can definitely come along to the next meet if it's after 6th june (my last exam). I'm one of the warwick game design people who came to the first meeting and I'm pretty sure some of the others would want to come again.
Also I agree with leamington although I'm not sure where we'd go, most of the good pubs are usually pretty busy.

I'll have to sit the next one out unless it's before 6th June Since there's only one of me and lots of you WGD peeps, I'll give this one a miss. Best of luck with it, though

Hi all,
Completely overlooked this thread somehow. I'm Southam based myself so I'd swing by the Jug and Jester if people are going to be there.
