one would think access to and ivy league education and infinite resources would teach someone to NOT SET THINGS ON FIRE in enclosed, structurally unsound locations

Pac-Man Championship Edition DX+ is phenomenal.

yes, yes it is. probably one of the only games where the famous IP actually hurt its reputation haha.

or at least i would have ignored it if someone didnt recommend it to me.

Spot on.

Beat Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. In addition to being a really fun time with some great level design, it also had some really beautiful art direction.

Just finished Dark Souls a couple days ago. Now onto Dark Souls 2 as my main game of the moment.

Also playing Transistor, Wildstar, and Zelda: TP.

Need to start playing the Witcher series again to catch up before 3. Played halfway through the first one years ago and debating starting over or skipping it and going straight to 2.

Switching between 1001 Spikes, Shovel Knight and Rune Factory 4 still. Going to Shovel Knight from 1001 Spikes actually makes me paranoid that there's hidden traps in tiles. It's crazy.

Heh. I have Skyrim for PS3, and thus have no mods, but I was in a Skyrim thread on another site a day or two ago, and at that point it was virtually all discussion about different mods. I felt like I would have been derailing the thread to talk about the actual, vanilla game.

I played about 20 hours of Skyrim, but at some point I realized that I had no real impact on the world and suddenly it just felt like wandering around Disney World.

Skyrim is weird in the things that it reacts to and the things it doesn't. People react to things like the type of weapon you're using, guilds you're a part of, etc.

But you can save (and/or practically rule) the world and everyone still treats you like a peasant. "Oh, you've fought off dragons in a dozen different places, and are the Thane of Everywhere? Ima give you some sweetroll-based attitude anyway."

the weirdest thing is how npcs in elder scrolls always assume you want to talk to them when you walk past them.

pikmin 3 stresses me the fuck out

I'm hoping if they do another one, they go back to Pikmin 2's setup where you can leisurely explore the planet and marvel at the hundreds of completely ordinary yet fascinating items you discover.

I really enjoyed 3 and loved collecting all the platinum medals in mission mode, but yeah, without any commands more complicated than "go here" it gets really stressful really quickly.

it's hard to get multiple things done in a day and to do it without planning is impossible. wish there was an option to extend days.

The good news is that aside from the first few days when you're short on juice, the game is extremely generous with time and you can take two days at a time to collect one piece of fruit and still have extra days left over after collecting everything. Just replay boss days if they take you more than two days to finish. If you don't care about getting a high score you can ignore the day counter and explore at a leisurely pace.

Maybe that'll help you enjoy it a bit more?
