Babada dump da da daaaaaa!!!
Let's make this the official thread of TIGIrc Movie night.
What is TIGIrc movie night?
Good question camper! Why, it is when we gather in the IRC channel, fire up the and watch a movie together.
When is movie night?
As I did not start it, just joined it, I can't make any proclamations. But why not shoot for friday? We can debate time in this thread. But Tasoth, how is that Fun?
Because we heckle the shit out of them, that's how.
Movies:
Movie Day -2: Cube Movie Day -1: Cube Zero. Movie Day 0 (05/30/08):Andromeda Strain (1971) Movie Day 1 (06/06/08): Versus. Movie Day 06/14: Dreams in the Witch House. 8pm Est.
See ya there TIGgers.

This is intrigues me! Do we have to watch our movies in sync with each other?

Watching the movies in sync (and commenting) might be very cool.

This is intrigues me! Do we have to watch our movies in sync with each other? Yep. Usually the movies are divided into parts, so whenever we start a new part someone counts down and we all push play at once. Usually we're only a few seconds apart max.

Note the accidental engrish at the top, shame on me.

I felt Cube Zero took away part of the gory magic of the first Cube by trying to explain some aspects of it and throwing in other mysteries which are just not nearly as interesting.

We could do a 2001 and 2010 marathon, and see who manages it all the way to the end.

question: is Cube Zero a prequel to Cube or the third in the series? Cube 2: Hypercube is the sequel to Cube and is sadly the only one of the three that i've seen.
also, damn. i missed andromeda strain, i just read that book two weeks ago. mumble

It's... a prequel and the third movie in the series. It also sucks. (The villain... God that was the most stupid thing ever.)
Anyway, sounds awesome! I recommend, for later movie nights: From Beyond (Horribly cheesy horror film, contains nudity, too!) Buckaroo Banzai (Has the old guy from Third Rock From The Sun, and is an overall awesome movie) Alien

real art looks like the mona lisa or a halo poster and is about being old or having your wife die and sometimes the level goes in reverse

But did he play crazy people in them?
Also, another recommendation! The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra!

Movie night tonight at 8pm EST.
The movie is Dreams in the Witch House, based off the HP Lovecraft story.

Buckaroo Bonzai? Hell. Yes. I have a VHS of that, it used to freak me out when I was little But yeah, I'm glad there is finally a thread for this :] Movie nights are uuusually on friday between 8 PM and 2 AM EST, though if I'm absent it usually doesn't happen :[ . So we're doing it tonight instead :O Dreams in the Witch House buffers quickly and is 50 minutes long, so everyone should come chill in #tigirc and watch it with us :D
