Yeah, icefrog just works away at balancing dota 1 as he always has and value copy his changes into dota 2 a few days after each new version is released |

Here's a protip for anyone who bought the ticket with the Wicked Succubus set: You can just fast-forward to the scoreboard and close it right away. It counts as a viewed game regardless of how quickly you go through it.
Right now there aren't enough games in the league to be able to evolve the set, but I advise taking advantage of this "feature" since it may be changed in a patch later on.

I'm working on a build for Lion in the mid lane. I want to capitalize on the Scepter upgrade by getting a high level mana drain which would let him maintain a high enough mana pool to cast it whenever available.
It's very difficult to choose a pair of boots for this guy, I feel like he needs all the things that boots give. He has low MS so the speed from Phase Boots is really nice. On the other hand he also needs the HP that Treads give to make him less squishy. And Tranquil Boots are a nice combo with Mana Drain since it lets you stay topped up on both health and mana at all times. I still don't like the super-nerfed tranq boots though, I hate that they are slower than brown boots when they're disabled.
After boots I'd like to get my Point Booster first and then save up for a Blink Dagger. Mobility is a high priority and I think the Dagger is much better than other options in that regard. I would finish my Scepter after that, and then maybe a luxury BKB if the game goes on long enough for it.

If you're still having HP problems after getting aghanim's +10 to all and drums +9 to all, treads isn't gonna help you. I always kind of dismissed blink on lion but I saw it being used really well recently to prove me wrong. |
