Yeah, some guy on the indie games blog posted that and I thought it was pretty awesome. :D
The indie game blog also posted about the OST today.
That's the 3rd OST in a row that I've done recently that showed up on there. Suspicious? ...nah!http://www.indiegames.com/blog/2010/09/music_jabless_adventure_kevin.html

I really love this.

I will start with my gripes first.
-I felt the overall level design was bland most of the time. There were many open spaces which felt needlessly big. It would have been better to just make them tighter and decorate them more interestingly. Your world begs for interesting environments. The smiling bump was a great touch; you need the whole world to be bristling with more interesting stuff like that!
-The platforming can be strange at times. If you approach a solid (platform) object from the sides (even for a single pixel) you just pass through it and immediately start falling through it. This was most noticeable on the cactus. I jumped on his head, walked a bit to the left, passed through his arm on the left (instead of stopping when I hit it, which is expected), and fell through him. I repeated that process about five times before I realized that it was an engine quirk. My geuss is that it's mmf2's default platform behavior. Not that much of a big deal (for this game) anyway, just a minor annoyance.
-Killing enemies just didn't feel satisfying. I prefer a bit more oomph when an enemy dies. Enemy death also felt a bit glitchy at times (The birds have an animation issue when they die.).
-Transitions between areas. Going up into the clouds and then back down again doesn't keep me in the same relative place.

What I love,
-The dialogue: I didn't get a couple, but most jokes were hilarious. I loved the shrooms, and Jables's flat responses.

-The music: It's very fitting, non obtrusive, and catchy as hell. I found myself humming it a while after I stopped playing the game.

-The sprites: Your style is awesome.

As a whole, It's a fun game that's worth playing till the end. I kept wanting to progress just to see what new characters and music I'd come across. Great job, and thanks, I had fun and enjoyed some laughs. Keep making games like this, and keep improving on the technical side! (You've got creativity covered Wink).

Great artwork and music.  The two fit together really well.

I especially liked the lumberjack boss - his attack where he starts cutting the tree and the pieces of wood fall down was cool.

The dialogue with the mermaid is the same before and after you kill the lumber jack. It certainly should be different the first time when Jable doesn't have proper diving equipment.

I think the upper cloud levels should have the same length as the lower levels below them for exit and reentry to be accurate. However, I liked their inclusion as a secret area to discover.

Hello Jables Fans,

All week, my lifelong dream has been to be the worst opening paragraph to a detective novel author, so if you enjoyed the humor in Jables and have a Facebook account, please take a moment to vote for me.  You’re allowed 3 votes a day, and each vote doubles as a contest entry for you to win fabulous prizes.

Thanks guys!  You're allowed to vote 3 times each day this week, and every extra vote is exponentially appreciated.  It's all just a popularity contest until the show's creator personally judges the 10 entries with the most votes.

I greatly enjoyed this little game.  Ended up with 21 health, though.  Never got the tomato and must have missed another fruit.

The dialogue with the other hero was priceless.

Never got the tomato

Perhaps you might consider supporting the arts Grin

The final day of voting has begun. I beseech any Jables fan with a Facebook account to take a moment to cast 3 votes for my entry before the contest ends at 9am tomorrow morning PST.  You are allowed to vote again even if you already voted.  Many thanks to everyone who has supported me thus far.

The

videos for the game are finished.  Lots of fun, but too short, in my opinion.  I must've missed some stuff?
