You can't stagger the boss I'm fighting. He's in a chalice dungeon. Also running out of healing and bullets is hell.

ive noticed that too, but i hate expending quicksilver bullets to learn parry timings, i end up needing to farm them out
you can sacrifice health to get additional bullets. press up on the dpad |

can i just say that this game is incredibly rad? might even reach 2nd place in my personal souls ranking after dks1. but ill reserve judgement until im finished with it (which is probably going to take forever because i suck).

this is actually the hardest in the "series" probably. hard to say yet tho because i still need to unlearn some of my old souls ways and adapt to the new combat system.
im in the unseen village atm (the way you get there is rly surprising. got me good). the lovecraft crap is starting to take root now. im not sure i would call it a horror game exactly but its definitely spoopier than usual. also those bag carrying fuckers are stupid fuckers and i hate them.

I found myself stuck again last night. Not sure where to go because there was a ridiculous boss in my way. Then I bought a key, and I unlocked another 3 hours worth of content that I didn't know was there.
Truly this game is gdlk.

is there a reason you get so much of the basic upgrade material? like do you need them later or is it ok to sell them (yes you can actually sell items for decent amounts in this gam)

i guess, but i have sooo many of them. i have like 40 of the lowest tier bloodstones. so i guess its still ok to sell a few in case i need some extra echoes
oh btw a small tip for u peeps just starting out: this game uses a noise based stealth/aggro system. so don't sprint up to enemies to stealth kill them. also using the gun to pull individual enemies might not be the smartest thing 2 do.

also you cant sneak up on all enemies as far as i can tell. some of the beasts know youre there no matter how sneaky you think you are.

OK SO: someone on neogaf said that booting your ps4 into safe mode and rebuilding the database (which i think is a sort of defrag?) improves load times! so i did that because why the hell not and it SEEMS like the load are a bit shorter. it takes me about 12 seconds to go into hunters dream, 30 sec for central yarnham and 20 sec for the unseen village. not tested anything else.
unfortunately i didnt count how long they were before the database rebuild so idk if its just placebo. so take my post with a grain of salt. hunter's dream DOES feel a lot shorter tho.

with your ps4 turned off, press the power button and hold until you hear a second beep. then connect your controller via usb and voila youre in safe mode.
like i said im not sure it actually does anything tho. it was extremely short for me also (probably because my ps4 is really new and i dont have much installed on it).
