I love the expressionistic animation in this. I truly miss cartoony pixel-art since most of that art tries to go for a minimalist-retro feel, using a very limited amount of frames. The offbeatness of it all really sells the feel you're going for. I'd love to see more of this style The high temperature palette around the robot contrasts very well with the nightshade of the trees. I love how both damp and gleaming the robot is. You seem to be telling how machinery clashes with nature. Especially with how chaotic the colors get around the fire compared to the fine gradient in the woods and how heavy the robot looks. This is a good piece. |
