beat paper mario a few days ago, I love the game but the locations mostly felt pretty lifeless even if the towns barrenness is explained by everyone hanging around the festival grounds. The collection game however is something ill probably get to completing after I let a friend of mine borrow it.
I have moved onto kid icarus and SMT: devil survivor: overclocked
Kid Icarus is overall pretty fun, especially the multiplayer.
Devil Survivor is overall pretty wonderful, though i could do without yuzu's constant whining. this is the best Pokemon has ever been

Devil Survivor Overclocked is still sitting on my shelf unplayed, need to fix that. Also, as an impulse buy I bought New Super Mario Bros. 2 not expecting anything special. It's definitely not a must have by any means but it's certainly pretty fun, 2D Mario is weirdly satisfying. Would never recommend it over 3D Land or Sticker Star, of course, but it's still fun.

I just purchased a 3DS XL. It's a big one and it seem more solid than 3DS. The 3d screen is huge. I think it more comfortable on 3D view. Right now, I just have a game Mario Kart. I like play it on 3D view, but I can see 3D view long. My FC: 2208-4745-3600. How to remember this long code? It's stupid. Just play game

They're slowing evolving the series, improvement needed for it to be how I imagined it should be as a kid: -seamless world, not taken to different world to battle. -giving commands to your pokemon in real-time. -voice acting -more organic world (less grid based)
Maybe next decade.

I've always wanted to actually control the pokemon in some kind of 3D action platformer game or fully controlling the pokemon during battles and having unique environmental gyms like the anime. I'm glad they're finally making a 3DS pokemon game and I definitely didn't expect the change to full 3D.

I'd be totally jazzed about the game if they do any of these things: Make online battles actually occur online Have interesting type combos (I hate you Water/Flying!!)
Have non- grass-fire-water triangle starters
Have a rotatable camera already; full 3d Have better level design Change the combat system. (nope...)

I'm pretty sure the anonymous online battles are played with the two players being sent each other's team and then the computer plays for your opponent, with play styles based on their previous matches. That's why you don't see a timer or anything during those fights.

You guys pumped about all the sweet upcoming releases? - Fire Emblem, Feb 4 - Etrian Odyssey 4, Feb 26 - Castlevania, Mar 5 - Monster Hunter 3, Mar 19 - Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, Mar 24 - Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Mar 24 - Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers, April 16 And then Animal Crossing & Pokemon X/Y later in the year... "3DS has no games" is a thing of the past. Keep it up, Nintendo.

A lot of these games I probably would't pick up if there were more big titles out but I'm going to now which is interesting. Are those Shin Megami games going to be any good? Does Monster Hunter feature online play or do I have to play it with friends locally?

Luigi's Mansion and Castlevania sound good, although I haven't read anything about either. I'm still busy playing regular DS games.
I'm not big on Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and Shin Megami Tensei style collect-the-monsters RPGs. The combination of collectable things and building up XP doesn't mesh well for me, and it's frustrating when you have to start choosing who to take and who to leave behind, especially when the optimal style of play is to just pick a team and stick with them forever.
I've never played a Monster Hunter game before, but they sound like they could be fun. I was thinking of getting the WiiU version of Monster Hunter that I think is coming out this year(?). What's the difference between all these different releases of Monster Hunter 3?

Anyone else played Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask? I didn't like how the Masked Gentlemen's identity was so obvious from the start, but gameplay-wise, things were made more convenient (like searching for puzzles, coins or collectibles) and the 7/8 floor dungeon was fun as hell
