I usually don't think photography is art except when it's done with non-digital cameras.

So one picture which may be much more interesting is discarded merely due to technique?   Droop

Art is too broad a term to be elitist about it. You'd achieve more if you categorize it as "interesting art" vs "uninteresting art". After all, as soon as you call something art, it technically is art, if only because of the discussion derived from calling it such.

High art.

Whatever you keep saying, I give a fuck one everything that's so called "art" because there was a special thought behind it. That's not art for me. That's a waste of time. End.

Ok, but I'm still trying to divine meaning from "Whatever you keep saying, I give a fuck one everything that's so called "art" because there was a special thought behind it."

It's pretty artistic in and of itself. I think that's an accident though.

Well, think about it and you get why it doesn't need much to do this kind of "art" (personally, I wouldn't call it like that).

It also explains why every sucker in the world can do this. Art would become mainstream this way. But art is and never was mainstream. And you know, everybody can place wood on a balloon. That's quite an impossible definition in it self.

And in the end we have what doesn't deserve to be art.

No I mean, tell me what that sentence is supposed to mean. It's just a bunch of words that don't quite make sense glued together with some strange misdirected anger. It's beautiful.

Go ahead and call it a waste of time or whatever you want. It's still art.

How do you feel about toy cameras? (Like Lomos, Fuji Cheki, Holgas, Dianas... etc.)

No you see, real art has to be inaccessible to the layman in some way so that my No Girls Allowed clubhouse maintains its sanctity.

this topic is art

face it fellas art is subjective. for one guy its just a piece of wodd on a balloon and for other people its a symbol of oppresion. thats what all art is.

i like jazz. other people dont. other people like heavy metal, i don't.

The subforum you're posting in is called Art. Huh?

I believe your frustration comes from you (mistakenly) assuming that there is some kind of level a work must get above before "deserving" to be considered art. If this feels more like an argument than a discussion to you, I'd suggest you leave.
