Beat Bioshock (the original one, I'm behind), so started playing Vanquish. Really enjoying it so far. Really interesting seeing Platinum's character-action sensibilities being applied to a Gears-style third person shooter.

I'm currently playing Copy Kitty. It's very fun, although slightly frustrating.

Right now, I'm halfway through Cursed Mountain. Survival horror about a mountaineer in Tibet. Really love the atmosphere and the design in this game, even if it's hurt graphically somewhat by being a port of a Wii game. As you climb higher, you can look down and really get a sense of how far you've climbed, which I like a lot. Not really frightening, but atmospheric and an interesting plot. Also, .

I love games that take the time to let you reflect on where you've been and see where you're going by wrapping levels or letting you see earlier and later levels from each other. It's a small touch that makes you consider it as a whole, instead of a sequence of events to experience and forget.

loved that in demon's souls, world 1 in particular.
i have cursed mountain on the wii but the waggle combat is so broken that the game is just frustrating as shit to play. also ugly graphics, some of the textures look like they were saved as gifs in ms paint. the pc version actually looks a lot better. how are the controls?

I have no idea how it'd be even playable on the Wii, especially for those parts where you have to aim at or click on something accurately. Thankfully, everything is pretty much fine on the PC: right click aims, left click attacks, space bar to interact with things. There are a few bits that are left over from the Wii's silly motion controls, i.e. connecting up dots in a pattern to open a lock, or moving it around a bit to untie your hands at one point, but since you have a proper mouse cursor it's not a big deal. The one that I think you're talking about, shaking off ghosts by waggling, is actually replaced by just tapping the space bar, as are a lot of other QTEs like that - it's just little bits like untying your hands or spinning a wheel for a puzzle that actually still use mouse gestures. I'd imagine those same parts would be a nightmare with wiimote + waggle, though. Basically, long story short, the controls work quite better with a mouse and keyboard than with the Wii controls, and it's a pretty good port overall. Cheap, too. EDIT: Hilariously, the PC manual gives you the controls for all the waggle QTE bits in the game, so I can tell you that there are exactly four times in the entire game you must actually waggle the mouse cursor. Of these, only two can actually be failed with any real penalty.

I've been playing Retro City Rampage. I bought it back when it was released, but never got around to playing it.
So far I'm having fun. I grew up in the late 80s, early 90s, so the humor really hits home with me. I was also a very big Family Guy fan (pre-cancellation) so all of the referential comedy is great. My favorite mission so far has been the one inspired by "Saved by the Bell", but I won't go into details to avoid spoiling it for others.
However, I do find myself rolling my eyes here and there at some of the jokes/knock-offs, but the game never takes itself seriously, so it's not a big deal.

Nowhere is a Survival Horror game released in 2007 for cell phones. Not smartphones, mind you, cell phones, with the number pad and the shitty screens and the java etc. It's pretty good though!
