If I may have the 18th, ultimate, and best slot, I would be happy to WRITE. If not, I will still WRITE, but it shall be done with a heavy heart, vexed by the shame of the lesser slot.

Hello this is Pencerkoff Hmm. I was gonna go the classic way and have everyone take turns so we get consistent character design; there's no telling how clear the writers will design their characters and how the artist will interpret the designs. If you guys all want to at the same time, I'm fine with the idea, but we'll need at least a week for a design brainstorming session and we'll have to keep it secret somehow.
Part of the humor of comicompo is that you don't get consistant character design. Maybe the trick here is to have the writers provide reference material? The idea of finishing this whole thing in a month is very appealing. -PENCERKOFF

Hey, Renton. There's one spot left. Why don't you write? It isn't like the other comicompos where you'd be on uneven ground with everyone else--everyone sees all the previous work.

When we do get started, could you make sure my page is scheduled a bit later?
I'm doing a collab piece with Peevish and I want to make sure I finish that first.

My vote is to do it in succession. Alone, the script won't be as descriptive as both the art and text together, so continuity will be a lot better if we take turns especially since the theme is unconventional sci-fi One person's unconventional sci-fi will be completely different from another person's.

Are we just going to go in sign-up order, or will things be scrambled?

What does "unconventional scifi" even mean anyway? I've been trying to think of scifi that would be considered unconventionnal but I can't.

Aboriginal mythology IN SPACE.
A future where people have replicated fantasy worlds with science.
A sci-fi that takes place in ancient Egypt.
The world is powered by COOLNESS.
I could go on, folks. Just think of a sci-fi setting that is different than the norm.

could be about how people use their own bodies as batteries that power their own robot suits.
Or about a space station powered by teenage angst

I think the idea was taken from my suggestion of 'Adventure in an unconventional post-apocalyptic world'. So yes. Basically, just go crazy, avoiding generic sci-fi ideas that have been done before. Just a bizzare sci-fi world.

space habitat with design from the 70s
70's sci fi in general
1870's Sci Fi.
The universe as an apple.
robot space pimps.
Basically anything that's not Halo or Mass Effect, I guess?
