like there's no tomorrow on Twitter? I feel like I might be permanently biased against following any of the associated works.
This looks interesting but from a few attempts I have failed to figure out how to attack enemies. My prior experience with Legend of Grimrock does not seem to help much.
Cool. Though why characters, etc. are silhouettes? This would look much better if they weren't.

Noticing this by mere coincidence (can I even see notifications for just the replies to my posts anywhere?)...
There were around 3 contributing factors to the
game style:
1. I wanted to convey the impressions from wandering around before the dawn (hence the game name). Alas, my complete absence of sound design skills left the game without the background ambience.
2. While the silhouettes shouldn't be completely black, PICO-8 only has 16 colors, not leaving much space for experimentation with that.
3. Even if (2) would not apply, I'm not exactly a pixel artist, so the result would likely look less consistent than it does now.
