Finally get to post this after missing screenshot Saturday for a few weeks!

Still need to update the devlog (link here: http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=47892 ) with the latest info
and my own website (over here: http://www.interactionman.com) will be updated in a couple of days,
but in the meantime here is the first character finished for my game - Before The Devil Knows You're Dead.

Aren't you the folks that spam-favorite everything like there's no tomorrow on Twitter? I feel like I might be permanently biased against following any of the associated works.

This looks interesting but from a few attempts I have failed to figure out how to attack enemies. My prior experience with Legend of Grimrock does not seem to help much.

Cool. Though why characters, etc. are silhouettes? This would look much better if they weren't.

i actually like the silhouettes. makes it feel way more nighty for me
Noticing this by mere coincidence (can I even see notifications for just the replies to my posts anywhere?)...
There were around 3 contributing factors to the game style:
1. I wanted to convey the impressions from wandering around before the dawn (hence the game name). Alas, my complete absence of sound design skills left the game without the background ambience.
2. While the silhouettes shouldn't be completely black, PICO-8 only has 16 colors, not leaving much space for experimentation with that.
3. Even if (2) would not apply, I'm not exactly a pixel artist, so the result would likely look less consistent than it does now.



Through the recent days I've been working on a number of small post-jam updates for my and NikB's Ludum Dare entry, Don't Crawl. The game's a versus platformer with online multiplayer.
