Some draft stuff for a game(!) project.

That's pretty ace so far. I can't really imagine a game from that perspective - it's almost a FPS, but the character looks like the player, so you'd be looking at them walking down a hallway.

A Tree.

Nice. Good colors and hues. It could be a bit more detailed (so there's no so much blank blue space where it's lit), and it doesn't really match the lighting of the player, but nice work, still.

The tree is shaded more like the light was coming directly from the camera, or somewhere between that and directly down but not directly down. You should shade the bottom more and not at all in the top parts.

In a nutshell, Light does move how you put it, though though the direction also depends on where is the light source, but in simple terms, yes, straight lines. However, you have shaded your tree as if the lighting is coming from another source and not from above. I have done a simple paint over which improves it alot better. I believe however that you have made a stylistic decision in the way you did your tree, so I only fixed certain areas where the shading is wrong. Mainly the top area which seemed as if there was a large area of shadow around the top part of the tree.

Also, because of the large canopy of leaves, I don't think much of the tree's trunk will get much light, just the roots.

Great redo of your old sprites. But I think there is still room for some improvement in the cluster department. It could also do without all those grayish brown colors.

Oh FORK! Just when I was about to remixthe previous ones, someone makes even cooler ones. Oh well... might as well upload it anyway.

Not cooler, different. Yours are looking pretty ace, Friend. The green guy's a bit weird, like he's wearing a green hoodie, pants, and shoes - not armor, but yet somewhat shiny. The red guy's head seems a bit 'upward-looking', but he looks pretty good overall. That blue guy's pretty cool looking, too. I think a touch of blue on his nose would be cool. Otherwise, I'd just change the color black to dark colors, and call it day. Nice work.

YAY!

The green guys has robes. Originally I decided to alter the colors to be darker and more cloth like, but I realized it would take away from the overall effect. Thanks. The originals are really good. you guys are cool. I learned a lot about drawing characters today.

This is good. However, why'd you break the lines up at the top of the head? Doesn't look right in my opinion.

It's actually her father. Perhaps the cane makes him look a little too old. xD; I think he should be fine if I just get rid of it, though. Maybe changing his eyebrow color would work too.


Anyway, I finished a statue earlier today that I'm pretty satisfied with...
