Glad this project has gone so smoothly Any plans for the future once it's done and dusted?

I recently discovered a very old engine test thing for ESA, recorded a little GIF of it: In the first draft the hookshot was supposed to be a kind of a sling-like thing. I wonder how well that'd worked... Glad this project has gone so smoothly Any plans for the future once it's done and dusted? I work on multiple games all the time, it's just that I try not to talk about the others much since they're in pretty early stages. So yeah, I my plan for the future is to make more games!

Cool gif, as always, this is looking to be something I have to pick up when it's released.

I like the bungee-ness of it. Could be an interesting mechanic - the longer you fall, the stronger the bounce.

Today I finished the ending cutscene and credits! After this I'll try to work on the remaining bosses and menu things.

Trying to catch up on the last 9 months I've been mostly off the grid... and just... wow. You've gotten so much finished in that time, it's incredible. I'm glad it's still progressing!

He said we're looking at around May more than likely.

I'm pretty sure that the game will be finished during May, but I've talked with Noby a bit and he has said that polishing and finalizing the SFX and music might take a bit longer. We'll see! I'll try to avoid definite release dates.
(If anything, a release on my birthday would be cool!)

Oh yeah, thanks for the compliments and general interest in the game It turns out that the joystick code crashes the game every now and then. I have some alternatives and ideas on how to fix that, though, so hopefully joy2key wont be obligatory.

I see those knock off snes usb controllers all the time at the local game shop. When this game comes out I'm going to buy one just to play this the way it was meant to be played.

I bought a few imitations & they sucked, Dpads didn't quite work right. Spent around $40-50 on an actual SNES controller modified for USB. Worth every penny imo, but there's supposed to be cheaper ways you can do it yourself.
Hempuli, I have to ask now; The HUD appears to be at the bottom of the screen, do you think it'd be possible to permit in an options menu the ability to switch it to the top of the screen?

Yeah, the controller I used there wasn't very good; the d-pad would regularly aim top-left when I pressed left and so on. With a proper controller it should be much much better! (Also the only real SNES controller is the one with rainbow-coloured buttons!!) Hempuli, I have to ask now; The HUD appears to be at the bottom of the screen, do you think it'd be possible to permit in an options menu the ability to switch it to the top of the screen?
Unfortunately I don't think that's possible; the game was designed with the HUD being down there, so the scrolling would be hard to get right with the change, and some rooms would look a bit off. The HUD is a bit superficial, though - the only thing you really want to look at is the HP meter!
