That just made me wonder something "aloud". How would anti-aliasing look as a blur effect on the moving part of an otherwise aliased pixel animation. As in the rest of the sprite (non moving parts) stay aliased and the moving arms or whatever are anti-aliased in a sort of BLURRRRRY type dealio. This would only work on a project where the background color is somewhat of a constant. ... This wasn't worth posting.

ooo i have plenty of these, i think ill share a few! a 'retro' NES rpg mockup... which inspired a higher res remake of the same concept... And a mock battle... which had me wondering if i could paint tiles, which i concluded was a ridiculous idea because of seams the beginning (and end) of a side scrolling concept (i couldnt paint very well at the time) and a little random pixel sprite just for fun.

Looks cool, but the red guy sees blurred while the background consists of chucky pixels thanks! yeah the guy kinda trembles in game (eep not a mockup). people say it fits when its animated but i'm still messing with it. @st0ven amg

A small mockup of a character for a game I was thinking about: Basically, it's a chameleon that can turn into different materials, and by doing this gets also their properties. For instance, by being wood (the last one) he can float into water, but is vulnerable to fire. By being metallic he's invincible to fire, sinks into water, etc. Also, he can't turn into fire if he's normal or wood because he has to go into fire to become fiery, so he needs to be air or metal... and so on. I think it could make it for an interesting puzzle/platformer kind of game. This one instead is a mockup for an action game in which the player (not shown) must infiltrate a garden and steal the dwarf contained in it. The garden is heavily guarded and contains traps: in the picture there's the dog house, the laser beams that trigger the alarm, and a trapdoor in the grass that opens when the player steps on it: This one is strictly tile-based (20x20).
